My 21.5" i7 was built BTO on or about 31 May, delivered to me on 4 June and it is a perfect display in all respects. Absolutely perfect.

Yea, keep it.

I also noticed the slightly yellow tint appear when you really close to the screen and looking at the bottom - color changed a bit, yellow thing appear. The same when you look from the bottom to the top. But, well, all monitors if it's not a proffessional for 10 grands has slight deviation of color, even CRT screens.

So if you don't have noticeable from all angles yellow spot, like in 2009 models, you shouldn't be bother.

For proper checking your head must be opposite center of the screen, not above horizontal center.;)

Just got my replacement iMac

My first iMac had a fault by the memory slot bezel and a slight yellow tint at the center of the screen. This one looks pretty good though :)

What do you think?

Edit: added one more, taken in the dark, with the contrast high.

Looks good my friend!

thanks m8 :D

It's nice to get someone else's opinion on it, because once i really start staring concentrated at the screen, all sorts of colors appear before my eyes  Getting it down to a smaller image really helps to spot wether you have it or not, it's hard to really tell when trying to overlook all 27" at the same time.

This being my second one...i was really nervous, and not sure if i wanted to try tree times.

this machine is awesome!

My new 27 iMac appears to have a yellowish tint towards the bottom of the display. Some pictures included, would like a second opinion. Thanks.

That doesn't really look like even colour to me. I can see red tint in the centre as well. On a $2k+ machine it's not great to be honest. Heck on a $500 machine is still p*** poor. On the up side you have saved Apple some money as like the rest of us on here you have effectly become a 'Volunteer QC Assistant'. If it doesn't bother you though in normal use then maybe keep it.

Instead of people going through the trouble of minimizing the dock and hiding toolbars in safari, it's a lot easier just to launch this test, which loads a similar image we use to test (greys' and whites), and a few others. As well as different solid backgrounds to test for pixel errors.

also, what i did was, launch the Yellow Check by clicking in the window, turn my lights off in the room, and set the contrast to 100% before taking the picture with a real camera without using the flash.

Well I didn't think I had much yellowing but my wife noticed it. I do however have a lot of light bleed and though I could live with it but then tried watching a movie and installing Windows in Bootcamp...

Is this level of light bleed normal? I think it will have to go back :( Gutted as I waited ages for it.

Here is a rather noisy picture taken just now with my iphone.

Brightness is set to full. I wonder if actually this is completely normal for LCD screens and I am sat quite close to it as well. Normally brightness wouldn't be that high.
