tysons corner, va, i think we're back up....just git 217k/s out of an edge connection, which is normal. Email's pushing again through mobile me...who knew at&t was right when they said around noon?

It is slower than molasses here in downtown DC, and appears to be bouncing up and down like a ping pong ball.

Yep, same here, now. Getting about 230 kbps which is 30% slower than it had been with latency times of 5-12 seconds. Not milli or micro, seconds.

I wonder if AT&T is busy installing filters to ensure the upcoming Orb client won't work. Yeah, I know, but with these two d-bag companies, can you completely discount it? :-D

gosh, makes you wonder how people survived out in the wild concrete jungle 6-7 years ago before mobile internet. man, the dark ages must have been hard . . .

Back in STL

Both 3G and EDGE are back up in St. Louis. Haven't had a moment to check speeds.

I think they're making this s**t up as they go along. Every customer service experience posted on the forum has a different excuse given by an AT&T lackey. Next up: Solar flares!

Ahhhh.....Solar flares, I will have to use that one with the next caller:D J/K

AT&T rep: see what happened was Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus which has affected your iphone usage:rolleyes:

AT&T has the thinking, if there is a problem with the service then it must be the "Insert national disaster Here" happening at that moment,

AT&T rep: oh I am sorry sir that your service is out, must be the snow storm.

AT&T rep: I apologize for any inconvineience must be the hurricane.

Bunch of BS if you ask me.

i called att around 1140 while on hold i checked to see if my phone worked and it did. i still told them it didnt work and i got a 25 dollar credit. the woman i spoke to was very nice

cs123456: I am packing up the family now, and we're heading out to Silicon Valley in hopes of finding some internet.
