That's it. This is what I am talking about. These are the type of renders that result on people being extremely disappointed when the real thing gets revealed (just like with the new iMacs). You can quote me on this in the next few months, it will look nothing like this.
People jumped on me a few weeks ago when I said the iMac won't have such rounded display lol they really think Apple would do that to a Mac.

They need to redesign the OS to fit and also take into account that people would be also using Windows on Mac, so how are they going to redesign Windows as well?

Was in a similar boat, but decided the iMac would be less expensive upfront, give me all the same benefits I need from a computer, and I still have my 12.9 2018 iPad Pro/Magic Keyboard setup for portability and note taking for school. I literally keep my 2017 MacBook Pro on my desk at home and virtually never take it with me on campus or out.
I might to the same honestly. At this point in my life I don’t see the need for a MacBook Pro anymore. I can write all my papers and take notes on my pro. And everything else I can do at home, I can do on the iMac

If they make a 14" MBP with MiniLED, MagSafe and FaceID, I might actually scream lol
To be honest, Apple has been delivering lately on the hardware side with some features we all hoped for but maybe didn’t expect so I wouldn‘t be surprised to see FaceID on the 14/16 MacBook Pros and TouchID to remain on the MacBook Air and 13” MacBook Pro. Although the only constraint might be the thinness of the display and fitting the FaceID module.

Did MacBook Pro's ever had a chin?

You know this is a joke right?

As for the subject I'm waiting for the 16" with high hopes here.
Mini m1 going on ebay soon. I'm sticking to win machines for desktop but I really want a 16" that doesn't fry my legs just cause I turned it on.

It’s fun to be at this point where we all know that each iteration of product is going to not just be a small spec bump up, but they will be considerably, demonstrably, better than anything previously released. And that we’re going to want each new device because it’s going to be so good, even if we just sprung for the last best new product. Apple was so smart to get into controlling their own silicon.

Not a joke. You know they have to put the mainboard somewhere with the M2 chip. No room anywhere else. ;)

Also, it's Tim Apple's new design theme. It's going to be everywhere. Chins on iPhones too!

Not quite up to speed with MacBooks - did they sort out the problem with the screen lamination, screengate or whatever it was called? If so, since when? And, if anyone knows, how?

waiting for the updated 14" to replace my 2018 Mac Mini that I bought just outside of the return window when the M1 Macs were announced.

Handing that off to my mom that is using a 2011 base Mini (upgraded to SSD and 8GB RAM)

I honestly can't wait. I just started my computer science journey and I want a 14 inch MMP with 16 ram and all day battery. Can't wait to be one of those Starbucks coders but not hogging the ports.

Really hoping for a WWDC announcement with July availability.
Yeah, I was sceptical about that, but I'm starting to think it's fairly likely. I'll probably still have to wait on some music software though, which is a bummer...

EDIT: Actually, I have a friend with an M1, so I could maybe try testing some things on his machine before jumping in. (Altiverb says they've been "investigating Rosetta support" since November... wtf??... may mean they're just pushing hard to get M1 support ahead of new machines, who knows...)
