Fn heck they seriously need to get new Umps next year my Cat can make better calls than these guys

Wow, the umps be blind and mistaking Blanton for Roy Halliday. He is gettingthe benefit of a very nice strike zone while Sabathia is getting squeezed.

Here we go again:mad:,dude just watch the game.:p Are you feeling a little nervous

Nice, another blown call.

This is happening way too often. The umps in baseball never used to be this baseball. The worst part is that these are the best that MLB has to offer. Maybe we should start using Japanese robotic umps instead.

They should just hire blondes, so when they screw up we will understand and at least have something better to look at in the process.:p:cool:
Not really:cool: Had bout those Giants:)
SF? they are not in the playoffs.:p;)

What's with all those calls in CC's favor? At least from the camera angle, they look way off and low. Do they really enter the strike zone and drop that much by the time the catcher catches the ball?

Funny thing is these are not the best umps in baseball. The umps now go through a rotation every postseason so every ump has a shot. The umpires should be graded throughout the season and the best ones go to the postseason. That would make far too much sense though.

Don't forget that camera is way off center.

Maybe I'm wrong but I believe the highest graded umps make it to the postseason. Could be wrong though. As for these umps it well known that Selig gave them hell after the last round and these four umps were specifically chosen because they were veterans. Buck made the comment when this series started that all of these umps had been to at least 1 WS.

Ump at home plate is incredibly lousy with a constantly changing strike zone. There was a pitch to Swisher that looked a foot inside and was called a strike. It's getting really embarrasing.

Nope you are correct. Veteran umpires were picked for this world series. I remember hearing on the radio that the umpires for the beginning of the postseason were picked by rotation. I believe MLB ended up changing the umpires for the world series because of the bad calls made in the previous postseason series and all the negative publicity that stemmed from it.

These veteran umpires don't seem much better though.

and Joe buck needs to seriously needs to fall of a bridge or something he's been so anti yankees this intier post season its not even funny he's always got to critize something of the yankees even when he points out something good.

im still trying to figure out were the heck the 3rd baseman was on that play he didnt seem to be anywhere on the camera?

He was at the SS position and I believe Rollins scooted over to the 1B-2B line since they had the shift on for Tex.

PS: The announcers need to stop saying, " ???? can strike out the side". Whenever they say that, it never happens and the batter wins the battle and gets a hit, HR, or walk. Since they seem to hate the Yanks, I think they knew if they said that it would jinx them and look what happened in the 8th. :p

PSS: 3-1 Yanks. :D While I doubt it will happen, it would be funny if Rollins prediction came true, but for the Yanks winning in 5. :p
