Boy Joe Buck sounds so depressed right now its sickining Im glad we got a shot to win it but I almost feel bad that the Yankees aren't at the Stadium tommorow.

This is why there is Rivera and everyone else. I watched the Yankees destroy a number of other teams' closer through the years. Lidge has been added to the list.

This series is basically over now. Yankees baby!!!

Where ya at Phanatics? Where are you robo and fish? Well at least the Eagles can console you until the Cowboys kick their butts next week! :p

and Joe buck needs to seriously needs to fall of a bridge or something he's been so anti yankees this intier post season its not even funny he's always got to critize something of the yankees even when he points out something good.

That is one reason I can't stand him..... I freaking hate Joe &uck...... Good I hate him. Did I mention that I really hate him. He is like that on a couple of other teams. I like hearing him and Troy Aikmen going at it....

One win away!!!

:)

One win away!
We can do it Yankees.

I'm going to Times Square tomorrow to watch the game,
so if we win I can have World Series gear (27th title) and be ready for the parade!

You can double check but I believe that you can watch the game at Yankee Stadium. I know that they did it with at least one game in the postseason. It's a shame also that I haven't been to the new park. Tickets have been hard to come by this year.

Go Yanks!

I will keep my eyes open.
I don't know how true this is though, wouldn't they have to prepare the stadium just in case they don't win and have to come back for Game 6?

we all know Buck dislikes the Yankees. He's a born and bred Cardinals fan. I will say that he and McCarver are good at what they do if you can push past McCarver's when he sometimes has incessant babbling.

Call to make sure but I do know they did it for another game and it was talked about on YES. It may have been a one time deal but they may do it again if the Yanks are about to win the title.

As for them preparing the stadium, if it goes back to NY, there will be a day off in between to clean up. You're sitting in the seats and watching it on that huge flat screen they have.

Chances are, yes, it's over. But some have come back from a deficit like this from being behind the mighty Yankees. At least Philly has the game tomorrow with home field advantage and it's their best chance to get back into this series.

5 in over 100 years of playing the game.

I think the only thing the Phillies have going for right now is that the Yankees pitchers are going on 3 day rest. If they can get to Burnett tomorrow and bring on Andy (who had a rough game 3) on 3 day rest, they can tie it up and bring the ball back to CC who they can get to.

I'm kinda bummed that I can't be back in NY to celebrate since my one big splurge this year was to go to opening day at the new Stadium (I'm in CA so it's quite a trip).

Oh well, I'll be happy to celebrate #27 anywhere.

What are you doing in california?!;):p

go back to NY!:D

u should be cheering the dodgers or angels....:p

day-um....... when was the last one? (what year?)

LOL, you'd have to watch SportsCenter to know. I do know that at least three of the five happened before 1950. One of the five was the Yankees. 23/41 won the next game.

People can keep bringing up that ALCS with the Red Sox but the Phillies aren't a pimple on the butt of that Red Sox team. Both teams were immensly talented.

I think that the Phillies will win tomorrow's game but ask yourself if that team can take three games in a row against the Yanks with two of them being in NY.

I was born in CA but have been a Yankees fan since I started watching baseball. I lived in NY for a few years while attending college out there, if that helps. ;)

Dodgers or Angels? No way. I was hoping for the Dodgers just to see 'ol Joe.

Aww........ good points............. i take it back....

I have a friend who is a die-hard LA fan.....but he is going to St. Johns University near Queens, NY and he likes the yankees, but he hates the phillies since they eliminated the dodgers.....haha :D;)
