Also, do you and @Silencio live in the Bay Area still? I'm envious if so...

Not anymore. Born and raised in the Bay Area and lived in San Francisco for many years. Went to countless Giants games at the Stick and the new ballpark. Moved to New York over 10 years ago. Only managed to get to one Giants game at Citi Field so far — need to do better!

I have nothing against the Rockies, but it is unacceptable for an MLB team to be so bad. Max Fried by himself has more wins than them.
Yeah, they're currently on pace to lose 138/139 games, which is mind-boggling. Short of spending a ton of money to bolster the roster (impractical), I'm not sure how they solve it.

I do.
I hate them and the AZ team.
I'm not crazy about either FLA teams.
It's a shame that these uneeded teams do well, some of them anyway, when classic teams are floundering.

I guess they’re going to look at what trades they can make in exchange for prospects. But I’m looking at their roster, and it’s depressing, they all suck. And the few decent players they have were drafted by them and are in their second or third season, so they’re not going to trade them.

I think they’ll just continue to tank and hope for the best with draft picks. I’m not familiar with their farm system, but from what I seen it seems like it’s ranked near the middle. But the next several years look bleak. They're not a big market team either with a lot of money to spend.

I will always irrationally hate the Rockies for not being able to win a single game against the Braves in their inaugural 1993 season, thus helping the Braves to a 104 win season and keeping a 103 win Giants team out of the postseason.

Aaron Judge's fWAR is now 3.2. The next 2 highest players in the AL are Alex Bergman and Bobby Witt Jr., who each have 1.6.

Judge is giving production equal to 2 MVP-caliber players. And he's being paid $40 million. What a bargain.

The odds of this happening are slim, but I'd enjoy watching him chase .400 this year. Given the modern hitting philosophy/metrics where batting average has lost much of its value, it would be amazing to see a hitter finish a season at/above .400.

Edited for spelling.

I would love for him to get a triple crown too. I don’t think it’s happened since Miggy Cabrera, and then the last time before that was a long time ago.

And now, his average is .430 through 32 games.

I’m not saying there’s even a remote chance of it happening, but the season will be a fifth over tomorrow. It’s impressive it’s stayed above .400 for this long, and it’s still rising.

I heard a statistic last night that his OBP is .494 over his last 162 games. That's insane. If anyone can hit .400 over a full season, it's him.

I went to a game over the weekend. Didn't really enjoy it. The game was good, a pitching duel. It ended 4-0 but two of those runs were unearned. I just didn't like the experience. I guess I'm too old and cranky to attend in person anymore. It's a much more pleasant experience to watch a game on TV for me.

They crank up the sound on music during "dead times" and it's so loud that you can't carry on a normal conversation with the people sitting next to you. As a consequence, I had to listen to a woman behind me for nearly three hours of non-stop shouting. None of the conversation was about the game we were supposedly witnessing, or about the players, teams, or anything at all to do with sports. But, She. Just. Wouldn't. Shut up.

Now here's a question for you: Should you ask the edge-of-the-seat-sitter in front of you to sit back so you can see over his head? I didn't. I had to sit on the edge of my seat so I could get his head positioned between the mound and home plate. I figured it wouldn't bother the people behind me since they weren't there for the game. I could see when the pitch was about to be delivered, and see the batter's reaction. But I couldn't sit back and relax and still see the action. Not. For. One. Minute.

I have tickets for a game in July, but it might be my last time.

i love going to minor league games out here we got the Reno Aces ( Az Triple A team ) and its always fun to see up and coming stars play just my .2cents

I have been to every major sport and motorsport in my life and I still prefer to watch it on TV. With large HD TV's the TV product is so good that unless you are going to a game with a group of friends, it is better to watch it at home.

Agreed. I've enjoyed the minor league experience in a couple of cities over the years. The seats and concessions are cheap compared to MLB, the games are fun and there's some real talent on display.

After more than a dozen games over the years at Fenway Park and a similar number at Busch Stadium, I've seen enough MLB games at full price. Living in SW Florida I can catch some Grapefruit League contests if I get the urge to watch players from The Show.

Same. With a free MLB.tv subscription from T-Mobile I find it hard to justify the growing expense of traveling to an MLB game when I enjoy the experience more at home.

Can someone explain why Bud Black is still the manager of the Rockies? Back to back 100+ loss seasons and the worst start in team history and this clown/idiot still has a job.

That's been true for quite some time, and with the costs of attending events today, even less incentive to attend live, if you've already had the experience.

A while back, I was given some tickets to an NFL game, and thought that was pretty sweet gift, based on the face value.

Then, after reaching the stadium, reality hit that I had to pay for parking…

My bucket list is to go to Fenway and to Wrigley but only if the Angels are playing those teams lol
