beautiful thing

Now that it works, I must admit this is kind of beautiful :) iDisk flies compared to the old times, the interface is just gorgeous!

Time will tell if uptime and reliability hold water though...

Holy Jesus! I just sent an e-mail to my @me.com address from my school address and it popped up in the web app about 1 second after I hit the send button! Then my phone vibrated about 2 seconds after that (I'm syncing my music back to it, so I assume that it was the e-mail coming in but can't 100% verify it).

That's pretty friggin' quick.

Meanwhile it still hasn't come in on my Mac through Mail.app...Have to check that manually to get it.

What false advertising!!!! MobileME is crap!!

Isn't it true that if I make any calendar change, either on MobileMe or iCal, either way the other app gets updated within no more than 20 seconds??
Well, it's not working that way at all. Unless I press the friggin Sync button.
That's not Push email working correctly. Also, in calendar preferences in MobileMe, if you change your preferences and press Save, and then go to your Address Book or something and then come back to calendar, your preferences are back to Apple's default. You also can't scroll by Day in week view.

Needs a lot of work.

Very disappointed. From the keynote, it looked like that MobileMe cloud actually symbolized Heaven.

It seems to work fine for me on Firefox 3 but not on Safari 4 (the buttons do nothing).

Can anyone else running Safari 4 confirm this?

I can confirm but its not a problem with safari 4 because I tried 3 and 4 neither worked only firefox

The syncing between Macs/PC's and the web apps doesn't seem to be working yet. My sense is that that particular functionality is tied to the MobileMe OS X Update, which they don't seem to have re-posted as of now. I can personally assure you that Push works for e-mail, calendars, and contacts between the web apps and my 2.0 iPhone. E-mail is within 3 seconds, the contacts and calendars are in 10-15.

Relax there, champ. They probably just haven't turned that on yet.

I just tried this.. well.. i added an event to my MobileMe calendar (online) and I'm still waiting for it to appear in iCal..

Must note that I don't actually have the MobileMe software update yet as nothing is showing in Software Update...

Maybe this is the reason why it's not pushing?

Still no international date support

Mail working, just. Can't comment on Calendar, which still refuses to load. But it's still only possible to display Mail dates in crazy, back-to-front American -- no preference to display DD/MM/YY. This has to be fixed!

Finally in and all looks good except for the calendar time zone support and a few of my contacts not having all of their info? Their name and company is there but that is it. No phone number, addresses or notes.

I would put money on that being the reason. Web app-to-2.0 iPhone is Pushing like a dream for me. Nothing is Pushing to/from my Mac. I don't have the software update, either.

Pushing to the phone is harder from a technical standpoint. If they can get that working, they can get the Mac Push to work. Give it a bit more time.

Timezones are completely screwed in Calendar !

Yeah, they're morons. You can't save your time zone preferences in the online calendar, so it defaults to US time and then pushes ridiculous changes to all your other calendar.

Whoever didn't test this is an idiot.

This will be the second bug report I've filed in 15 minutes.

Or you could stop being lame and accept the fact that our date format is vastly superior to yours. :D

I get this, connecting to mac.com:

there is an option in the account pref's, it the last button on the left. Changed mine just then.

Cool. Now if we can just get the updater, life will be good!

My iDisk is showing 20GB, too, both on me.com and locally. Yay!

edit: anyone else getting the annoying pop-up video "Getting started with MobileMe?"
