It's been up and down for me all day long. I feel like I'm watching a really bad porno.
Sometimes push email/contact/calendar works, sometimes it doesn't.
Apple gave birth to something huge today, of course it was bloody, damn straight it was messy, but I for one have enjoyed the last 48 hours... 
(and we now have a fully working progress bar when uploading to iDisk... and it's fast!.. I've been waiting years for this.)

me too. If I look within me.com, it shows my account with 16gb i Disk. If I look within my MBP prefs, it still says .mac with only 10gb iDisk.
Not impressed.
Same thing happened with me. Sorted now though. Are you new to iphone or updating?
Even this forum seems to be creaking under the strain, so it's not just Apple. Takes ages to do things here at the moment.
Yeah that should work fine, and it's what I'll be doing if they ever get this thing working (at this rate I reckon they'll revert to .Mac, offer some form of refunds/vouchers and go back to the drawing board).
Gmail forwards your mail the moment it hits their SMTP server if you set it up for forwarding, so you're probably only looking at a second or so extra delay max.

@ cha.I'm waiting for MobileMe Support. It keeps moving from 5 minutes to 1 minute and back, it's taking forever.
new. i understand PC to cloud to phone, but does it go in reverse as well?

I'm just embarrassed for Apple. Really, couldn't they see this coming? They new they produced XX amount of iPhones, they've been developing MobileMe for how long now... I would expect that it would be blazing fast. Sure maybe a few bugs, but certainly not slow as a snail!

I suspect that Apple can draw in top talent. Perhaps the bigger question is what they do with that talent once on board

Yes. It can be computer to "cloud" to another computer and phone and any combination of any number of devices. That's how Push works.

so, looks like the hype and trouble is starting to settle down...
I don't have an iphone. i really only want it for my mac and iweb publishing. so if I wait till Monday, I should be all set then as the problems now are really related to the iphone and people downloading the wrong firmware for their ipod touch (which Apple has not released yet).

That's it! That's EXACTLY what this feels like. Like growing up and using the tuner on the television to get the "naughty" channels that come in all fuzzy and scrambled. Sometimes... sometimes the picture would come in crystal clear for just a moment, then it would slooooowly start to slide up and degenerate to crap. So, there we are. MobileMe. It's like bad porn, without the boobies.

Well the main issue right now is the PUSH service doesn't work, so even if you don't have an iPhone like me you cannot have all your calendars etc pushed between different computers coz it doesn't work!
