Clearly the answer is 'god damn ridiculous'.
That first one (and the last one I suppose) made me think "what a lot of wasted space, having a whole row just for the clock", but then I thought they can put the previous app link there.
That is gorgeous. I'll wait and buy next year unless they surprise us with a plus sized model in September.Rumor is that there might be a version of #iphone8 with white front. Here is a quick render of that.https://twitter.com/talkaboutdesign/status/895859999930540032![]()
I'm so over this iPhone and that makes me sad

I'd rather have this with more space top and bottom than Samsung where the display falls off the edge and you can't even see what's over there. It looks cool until you use one and realize it's just poor design that does nothing but grab attention. Maybe they've fixed it with the newer ones but the first ones I tried had icons, the clock, etc going off the side of the display. It looked real bad.Apple didn't get rid of bezels like Samsung.
This phone has reduced bezels.
Please Macrumors stop saying it's bezel-less
Perhaps we will see a UI change in the near future, macOS need it.That is gorgeous. I'll wait and buy next year unless they surprise us with a plus sized model in September.
I just bought a 7+ or I would buy anyway.
iPhone coming with stories integrated on the ugly bezels lmaoRumor is that there might be a version of #iphone8 with white front. Here is a quick render of that.https://twitter.com/talkaboutdesign/status/895859999930540032![]()
Or, you might be able to press either one of those items and they'll toggle to show the time. And you'd be able to customise the corners and choose what's displayed by default and what gets toggled.Everything will be squeezed into the two gaps on either side of the notch, but I believe Apple will remove either of these to make it work.
1- There will be no clock in the status bar. (You can access it easily from the NC or by going home)
2- There will no "Carrier Name" (unless it is required by law or something...)
a phone with real edge-to-edge screen should be more than just hiding the sensors and camera/s. it should also be made with a very durable glass without compromising weight and price too much. one drop and, boom, shattered. The so called "revolutionary" 10th anniversary iPhone, should have a behind-screen camera for FaceTime (saw a patent apple filed for that back in 2009, 8 years ago), and some kind of engineous solution for the audio and other sensors to be hidden.
I was really hopping for a real edge to edge screen! That thing on the top is hideous... Steve would never allow an iPhone like that! But that's just my opinion... I mean... the richest company on the planet with billions to invest in research and we get that... thing..
Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. Get that time out from below the cut-out spot for lenses. That looks super awkward.
