Mockups Show AirPods in Apple's New Jet Black Color

You ever see the string connecting ear plugs for noise protection. Just take those pull plugs off and tape to stalk of the pods. May not be so pretty but prevent a disaster. And only need the string when riding, otherwise remove.
Oh, but I did. And I own the stainless steel watch with links band. But I don't think I want the 80s lacquered look with scratches.
With respect to the person who took time to mock up the black AirPods, they look unattractive in shiny black, they aren't on brand, plastic looks cheap, just like any other junk stock standard earphones out there. Maybe silver or gold or rose gold might work or matt black, but this shiny black just looks cheap.
Solid rose gold:
Just make them available in skin tones.
Or just make them available as an implantable chip connected directly to the auditory nerves.
I couldn't care less about the battery life of AirPods when they are sitting in their charging case and not being worn!
Or perhaps this story is simply poorly written. Didn't Apple say at the launch event that the AirPods case contains a battery able to provide multiple charges?
Yup, if you pop them back in the case when they're low, the case holds enough juice for 24 hour operation of the Airpods.
Further proof, if any was needed, that color is too subjective to quarrel over..... one man's trash is another man's preference. Personally I'm still waiting for a sparkly, luminescent, mid-blue hued iPhone, but with 2017's iPhone8 rumored to be a bezel-free, all-glass design, that blue color may not happen for a while, if at all.
An optional different 'feature color' for each new iteration of the iPhone would be a nice distinguishing mark in years when there's no complete re-design. Would also satisfy the 'look at my new iPhone' crowd lol.
My preference is lights.
Blinking lights.
Separately controlled with a Siri command.
People in front & back would know when I'm making a turn.
Great for crowded city streets.

Inspired by Apple's new Jet Black color for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, designer Martin Hajek recently created a few mockups of what the company's all-new wireless AirPods could look like if the accessories had a similar dark color option.
In his blog post, Hajek said he "modeled these earphones and rendered them in brand-new iPhone gloss black," making them visually identical to the new, shiny finish of the iPhone 7 in Jet Black.
Hajek even visualized the AirPods charging case in Jet Black. When inside of the case, the AirPods can get up to 24 hours of battery life, according to Apple. On their own, the Bluetooth headphones have up to 5 hours of music playback on a full charge.
Although most hardware announced at Apple's September 7 event is debuting later this week, on September 16, the AirPods still have an unspecified launch in "late October." If you want to check out more of Hajek's renderings of the Jet Black AirPods, visit the designer's website.

Wow, even though they are still functionally lacking that black color makes you realize how HIDEOUS the white ones are.
Why waste time doing a 3d model when the real ones are out. Just take some photos and change the color to jet black.
