Can you pretty please find an area where you only get one or two bars of service and see if the juice pack affects your signal any? That was what made me return the juice pack air for my 3GS. At work where i had full bars it was awesome, but at home where I hover between one and two bars, the juice pack would kill my signal.

got mine today as well.
No service problems anywhere, works flawlessly. even in areas where signal strength was not too great the case was not a factor.

I also have the exogear battery case. in comparison, it seems like the mophie is a tad thicker, especially around the volume and vibrator area, not bad, but just comparing right now. I would say the weight is equal, they both seem about the same.

Now I really thought I would drip dead on the Mophie and not use the other agt all, but I can't say that was the case, no pun intended.

I like the fact that the exogear case does not have any kind of lip, unlike the mophie that has a distinct border around the edge.

the mophie does not have a rubber stopper on the mini usb, which is another bone of contention with their units. I hate these cords, I can never find them and am always trying to hunt one down, why on earth they do not use a standard usb cable is beyond my understanding.

The exogear does use standard usb cord and it really holds a nice charge, and you do have the ability to turn it on and off as you do with the mophie.

I think the switches on the mophie are easier to get to and better placed athan the exogear. The rubber protector stopper on the exogear will eventually rip off, not particularly well thought out.

And the mohie juice pak has NO LOGO anywhere on the outside of the unit. BRAVO FOR THEM! Not many companies are that self confidant that they feel comfortable enough to do this.

The mohie juice pak has a great non slip grip, much like their first iphone battery pak, Juice pak I think it was called, love that feel. the exogear has the plastic easily scratch able shiny black finish with a star logo in the middle and their name on the lower bottom portion. Very distracting and foolish on their part.

Seems to me both work equally well charge wise, though I do notice the heat build up on the exogear while it is charging the phone, which is kinda annoying. Will report back on this issue when I have the the mohie juice pak charging the phone and see if it does the same thing.

Design wise, with the exception of the lip, which bugs me, I would say hands down the mohie juice pak wins. It keeps the general iphone design intact with silver brush finish and flat black finish on back. Seems very durable like all their products and very well thought out.

Both can be used with screen protectors, I use the anti glare, SGP.

I think that about covers it for now.

Recommend Mophie over expogear on appearance alone!

I got 3 cords for 1.75 each on Amazon just plug them in the old iphone usb.

How do you compare the feel and weigth with the Mili Power Spring?

I dont know the difference. Keep in mind it does add weight and it does and size but if you have battery issues especially in 4.1 its a must. Women might not like these cause it does add bulk. Only reason I said that was the girlfriend was like shocked by it but she thought it was great for me. Whatever that means. I haven't let the phone run to 0 then charge it. Will have to try it. Will confirm that this works with Wrapsol Ultra. I did take the side parts off.

volume

I noticed the volume issue also. How about making calls is voice quality on your end worse, better or same? (I mean how you sound to the person on the other end)

I got mine yesterday too. Fits very snuggly around the phone. Hardly any weight or bulk is added by the case. The sides of the case around the screen are fairly smooth and snug to the screen, so I don't really see much dirt getting under the case.

The case took a long time to charge up. The only thing I don't like about it is the mini usb slot. Instead of plugging in from the bottom, it plugs in from the side and sticks out, making it a bit tricky to hold with the cable in.

I notice zero impact on the reception at all. None.

I am going to post some pics as soon as I can get a camera charged up.

Sounds like the volume is a bit lower with the case on?

I actually think the sound is a bit louder with the case on since the speaker hole acts as a tunnel amplifying the sound, but definitely NOT muffling, at least not to me.

I don't know if I would call the sound muffled, but the sound just sounds different. I think it sounds a little better.

It's hard for me to tell in any of the pictures or reviews, but does the Mophie have a lip around the front of the screen? Like to keep the face off of surfaces it may lay on (i.e. "lay on the table" design)? Or is it flush with the screen like the Juice Pak for the 3GS was? This is my one beef with all battery cases it seems...no one makes them "lay on the table" safe. They are always flush, which I hate. If this Juice Pak has a front lip, I'm ordering it today!

The lip is there, but its only ever so slightly raised. However, if you lay the phone on its face on a completely flat surface, the screen will not touch the surface.

It does sound slightly different. I believe its due to the sound being redirected. I don't know if it sounds better or worse, but slightly different.

I think this is going to be the battery case I get, Looks really nice, Soft matte finish everywhere instead of hard glossy plastic. As long as this one doesn't heat up crazy like the Exogear it seems perfect :)

Yea if you play music out of it. No deal breaker.
Slightly muffed

NONSENSE, does not sound muffled at all, perhaps some Q-tips are in order here.

It actually sounds better, a little amplified because it goes through the little tunnel system they have created.

It does heat up, not sure there is a way to avoid this problematic feature they all seem to have.
