It does heat up, not sure there is a way to avoid this problematic feature they all seem to have.

I only have experienced the bottom getting slightly warm when charging the actual case with the iphone in it. However, when just charging the case itself without the phone in it, or when unplugged, charging the phone, I don't notice it getting warm at all.

Sorry, didn't read through all the pages, did someone confirm if it works with the invisible shield?

got mine today as well.
No service problems anywhere, works flawlessly. even in areas where signal strength was not too great the case was not a factor.

I also have the exogear battery case. in comparison, it seems like the mophie is a tad thicker, especially around the volume and vibrator area, not bad, but just comparing right now. I would say the weight is equal, they both seem about the same.

Now I really thought I would drip dead on the Mophie and not use the other agt all, but I can't say that was the case, no pun intended.

I like the fact that the exogear case does not have any kind of lip, unlike the mophie that has a distinct border around the edge.

the mophie does not have a rubber stopper on the mini usb, which is another bone of contention with their units. I hate these cords, I can never find them and am always trying to hunt one down, why on earth they do not use a standard usb cable is beyond my understanding.

The exogear does use standard usb cord and it really holds a nice charge, and you do have the ability to turn it on and off as you do with the mophie.

I think the switches on the mophie are easier to get to and better placed athan the exogear. The rubber protector stopper on the exogear will eventually rip off, not particularly well thought out.

And the mohie juice pak has NO LOGO anywhere on the outside of the unit. BRAVO FOR THEM! Not many companies are that self confidant that they feel comfortable enough to do this.

The mohie juice pak has a great non slip grip, much like their first iphone battery pak, Juice pak I think it was called, love that feel. the exogear has the plastic easily scratch able shiny black finish with a star logo in the middle and their name on the lower bottom portion. Very distracting and foolish on their part.

Seems to me both work equally well charge wise, though I do notice the heat build up on the exogear while it is charging the phone, which is kinda annoying. Will report back on this issue when I have the the mohie juice pak charging the phone and see if it does the same thing.

Design wise, with the exception of the lip, which bugs me, I would say hands down the mohie juice pak wins. It keeps the general iphone design intact with silver brush finish and flat black finish on back. Seems very durable like all their products and very well thought out.

Both can be used with screen protectors, I use the anti glare, SGP.

I think that about covers it for now.

Recommend Mophie over exogear on appearance alone!

I'm switching to Mophie. I went through two Exogear cases before I received one where the case: a.) charged b.) charged my phone c.) didn't become close to scalding hot within minutes of charging my phone d.) charged my phone without turning on and off and/or d.) buzzed while charging. I don't think this was bad luck, multiple early adopters experienced this. That said, my third replacement case worked well, but as mentioned, there is a noticeable heat build up (which looks like may or may not be avoided with the Mophie case ...). I was able to get about a 75% charge increase when using the case. It looks as though they have ironed out all their product defects, but I unfortunately no longer feel comfortable using this case (no lip, smudges easily, past experience). I did receive excellent customer service from Exogear, but it looks like as if right now Mophie may have the superior product.

craze10 (10% off) works for me.

I do believe it would be around 85 to 90% since the battery is discharging itself when sitting idle.

Will wait for 10% before charging.

Also does work with wrapsol Ultra which is thicking with no bubbles so should work with Zagg

I purchased the Mophie Juice Pack boost and used it for a few weeks before returning it. The boost only charged about 50-60%. The boost and the juice pack air both have 1500 mAh battery capacity.

I'd like to get confirmation that the juice pack air would charge more than the 50-60% I was getting with the boost.

Update starting charging at 20% at 4:02 its 4:40 40 minutes and now I am at 45% the case charge shows 3/4 lights now

This looks pretty interesting...

Just noticed that if you start a checkout process, then abandon the cart (you have to make it to the point of giving them your email address), they will send you a coupon code to finish checking out. Looks like all in all it saves the standard UPS shipping fee + ~$2.

So I went from 20% to 80% on this. I used it a bit so lets say 85% thats 65% added to your phone. Dont think thats good. Anyone else test this?

I wonder if a couple of draining/charging cycles will increase that any.

I would think it could. Theoretically it's just like the initial iPhone battery, it works, but to get it's full usage, it has to be drained and calibrated properly to maximize it's full 1500 capacity.

But damn, 65% added to the phone is pretty amazing, I mean...65% of an iPhone battery can last you hours of usage if you're in a bind, need to send texts, use GPS + Maps, make an emergency call (hour long emergency calls, lol) etc.

I'm going to their office tomorrow and seeing if I can buy one there since they're only 20 minutes away from me.

Huh, so it seems like all battery cases add about 65-75% charge out of the box. I have a Mili Power Spring myself; was hoping to hear different news about the Morphie.

I may be reading their documentation wrong.....but it looks like they want you to actually use the JPA as you use your iPhone, instead of just using it as a recharging pack when the iPhone's battery is at 10-20%.

From the way they word the manual and online documentation/features, it sounds like the circuitry will know when to charge the iPhone, vs. use the JPA for powering the iPhone when the iPhone is being used, instead of sitting idle. This implies that the JPA has different charging states (current and voltage), working with the iPhone's built in charging circuitry. This could result in more than just a 65% 'recharge'.

Since I don't have one yet....hard to know without talking with them about it.

Just ordered one.

Figured ~$35 for a nice looking protective case and ~$40 for a back up battery (and don't always have to be tied to a charger like I was on the 3Gs).

Even with the iPhone4's bigger better battery, I still ran it down to 20% by 4pm the past two days starting with a full charge at 7:00am. Most of this use just airtime talking to customers (it's a business phone).

Used a code 'Promo1' to get 15% off (but then it added shipping).

I do not own one yet, but this is what I was thinking. Turn on the Juice Pak and use it and then your phones battery. Or, like m3coolpix said, they work in conjunction with each other.

My order will be placed today. I'm sold.

Does anyone have more pictures, or seen a review video? I'm really interested to see this more hands-on before I place an order.

Ah screw it, placed my order. lol - it says ships in 1 to 2 days (down from 5 to 7 a few days ago) so I hope that's true.

Code PROMO1 saves $11.99 - but the ground shipping was $9.95 So it really only saves you a few bucks, $2 and some change.
