Can't change the width without making it more tablet like? WTH are you on? The iPhone is one of, if not THE, smallest (high-end) phones on the market. It can have an increase in size both ways without negatively impacting user experience...unless you have BK small hands guy sized hands.

It also solves the problem of having to hold the cord behind the iPhone while you are using it upright while laying on your back.

Exactly!
If this is even close to final design, a lot will change first. There is no way this will make it into customers hands looking like that. I would guess that this was a test run to see if it could be done, but far from a finished product!!

Why so angry? This is probably only a red herring to distract us from the fact that there have been virtually no rumours regarding a Pro or an iMac refresh.

P.s. I'll take your shares, send them with a self addressed and stamped envelope and I'll send you a dollar.

Huh? Having a different opinion from yours makes me "blind"? I like the design and, as has happened *every time*, the final product will look much better than the badly photographed leaks.

Did anyone notice the camera looks slightly more small than the iPhone 4S, that doesnt seem very Apple like. Maybe its just a prototype :D
 
If this is the new iPhone then apple is starting to lose in vision, seems Steve Jobs was apple after all...
There is no one there obnoxious,egoist,visionary etc. to stop them from pulling **** out of their ass and sell them for silk.
If this copy of iPhone 4 with minor changes is the iPhone 5 then apple ...shove it

No. You telling other people their opinion is WRONG is what makes you blind.
 
I like it with longer display. :)

You have to rememeber that Apple produces just one iPhone model that will cater many different people with different build and of all ages. Same for iPod touch. (Samsung produces many different models and sizes.) Having a really massive phone in the width makes it harder to keep the one model, as many people with smaller hands won't buy it. My mom is quite short, she can't hold massive phones. I myself am 170cm and I like one hand operation if possible.

Where have I been?? Your statment is totally false. And knowing supposed details is different from photos like this. I don't recall EVER seeing part leak photos this complete, and of this quality, this far out. These photos, if legit, show it all...Except maybe actual dimension..Which can be approxiamted. Please show me some examples of photos 5+ months out that are of this detail and quality. And this complete. I still call BS on all of these. Save this post and come talk to me as we get closer. I'd gladly eat my words.
 
Nice. This is what the 4 and 4S should have looked like in the first place.

Still waiting for a design either slightly tapered or curved in some way. The flat slab just doesn't do it...
 
Also for playing games, wider makes sense because you have extra space for the controls, so you have more view.
 
I don't have an issue with the headphone jack being on the bottom. However - the speaker grille holes are hideous and I really hope they don't change the dock connector...

Yeap, I call total BS on this one, as I said, looking at that METAL case, where does the ariel go? Unless Apple attempts to redesign the WiFi and GSM ariels again, then the reception is going to be dreadfully poor with this design!!

And the design also 'looks' utterly stupid, but I thought that of the iPhone 4 until I saw it in the flesh so I don't go by photos for my total opinions of Apples designs.

Oh dear, I didn't. They were wrong (I think) calling it a backplate. They are very entitled to still think it's ugly, unibody or not.
 
Praying it doesn't have that back. They should just keep the back style that the 4S has.

The iPhone's current width can be increased without making it "massive". Is everyone around here prepubescent with with really small hands or something?
 
I'm so done with my SGS2!! I was thinking of doing the HTC ONE X but now after seeing this beauty, I'm sold. Sign me up for 2!!

It will sell like hotcakes. Those that are blasting it for being "ugly", i will see YOU in line day 1 of launch sale.
