I really hope this is NOT the final product! This is a symmetry nightmare! I don't think Jonathan Ive would design something like this, and if he did Steve would be rolling over in his grave.

I will reserve judgment until the unveiling and I see it in person, but PLEASE do not let this be it! :(

The Nokia N900 is a WAY nicer design than this!!!

Also, hold your current phone in your hand like you're texting or reading something. Now slip it in your pocket. Fifty bucks says you put it in there upside down, because it's natural to do so. That way, when you pull it back out, it's right-side-up again.

Only the most blinkered fan boy would believe that Apple is responsible for "rounded corners" on our phones.

You must clearly be ignoring the S3 and One X... you know, the current stuff on the market. The cheapest feeling phone I've ever held is the 3G/3GS. It was plastic junk even at the time and was a step backward from the original imo.
 
Geez ... so many comments in a few hours, leaked parts really unchain spirits ! Got no time to read the whole 17 pages, can anyone tell me if someone has already posted that stupid Simpson's like image with a guy saying "take my money" ???

Oh my ... and we still have no news about new Apple computers !
 
I don't understand why bother with coloring the body if it is unibody aluminum? It would be more efficient and consistent with other Apple unibody designs to just use the same powdered aluminum finish found on MacBooks, iMacs, MacPros, etc.

The N900 is nice, but it is fat, fat, fat.
 
Who wins?
I guess Nokia N9 (not the MS Lumia bla bla) wins many times in terms of industrial design.

i am starting to believe that if we are seeing parts leaking now (if they are real), that means that these things have already been in production for a while, so, we could be seeing an iPhone at WWDC. Sources? A month before the new iPad came out there was a leak of the casing that looked a lot like this. So, I'm getting my hopes up, but won't be disappointed if it doesn't come out then. But the iPhone 4S might have just been a bridge to make a new product to keep their market share up, and they could be returning to the normal cycle. Although, iOS 6 hasn't even been announced yet, so maybe we will see:

1. New redesigned MacBook Pros
2. New Redesigned iMacs
3. Spec updates to the MacBook Airs, Mac Mini, and Mac Pro
4. Mountain Lion Demo
5. "The New iPhone" also a demo of the new features of iOS 5.2
6. iOS 6, coming in the fall
7. iCloud
 
I just love how a lot of people make judgement how things will look and work by looking at 2 photos. Remember how iPhone4 design was horrible after Gizmodo pictures? Remember how the antenna gate killed it? I sure don't! :)

You know, when it is released, it will sell like hot cakes. Luckily everybody that has negatively criticized uses nicknames here, so we can`t identify them when they are in line trying to buy one :)

I still use my fatty iPod nano every day when I go jogging, it's not a big deal.

Besides, an iPod was a little more utilitarian then anyway; mine is all scratched and dinged but it doesn't matter. It's not like a phone where we baby them a bit more.

No way will Apple announce all of that at WWDC. The keynote is only 1.5 hours and most of it will be dedicated to software. I can see announcing new Macs but not a new phone.

As long as what we see isn't the finished product (I don't believe it is).
 
Im wondering if the people saying 'the back wont look like that' are the same people who said the iPhone4 wouldn't have black lines through the chrome antennae.

I agree. They will not have iPhone take the eyes off of new Macs. That would not make sense.

Well i always liked the iPhone 4 design - even on the gizmodo pictures.

However - I don't like this design very much. I could live with the black one. But the white one kind of looks ugly to me. I'm talking about the back of the phone of course.

Also - I'm kind of bored with the whole metal band design.I was hoping for something more round which would fit better in your handy. More like a miniaturized ipad 2/3.

Also - i dislike how the left side of the bottom has more speakerholes then the right side. Kind of kills the symmetry

Well, (assuming this is legit) now we see what Apple can produce with the bare minimum in design effort. Nice work over the last 2 years. Looks like half the bad photoshop jobs we've seen over the last two years.

Way to coast, Apple. At lease everyone who didn't want the iPhone to change got what they wanted.

Can you describe how a new iPhone should look keeping in mind a "drastic design change" ?

I mean. Get serious people. There's only so much design change you can do to a smartphone.

Make it round ?

Give it curves ?

I don't see an iMac design refresh (if we do, probably just to note the new Retina display) or the new iPhone/iOS 5.2, but the rest is pretty much a given. Full OS X Mountain Lion demo/release highlights + release date and iOS 6 preview. iCloud is a necessary part of that.

If they're updating OS X, I'd assume spec bumps are to follow across the hardware line, particularly since they're due. And it seems clear that Retina is coming to the Macbook lines, so we're at least getting that if not some design tweaks on the Macbook Pro line.

If there isn't a Macbook Pro design refresh, this place is going to be hell for a few days.
