The Beatles on iTunes? Don't care. Most of the world doesn't. The Beatles rank as the most overrated band of all time.

A better announcement would be that all music is now being sold in Apple Lossless format and we all get free upgrades for all of the music we've ever purchased.

I find it interesting that all posts I have read assume that Apple is making one announcement tomorrow (e.g. The Beatles catalog). Apple could certainly announce iCloud and use The Beatles catalog to help promote it.

I agree completely. Was just wondering that myself. All we know from the WSJ seems to be that the Beatles is confirmed tomorrow. That says nothing about if that's all that is being announced. Guess we'll just have to wait and see

The cloud is a feature Steve would want to demo, so, no.

A new lossless codec, maybe.

For all you naysayers out there, let SJ have his moment. He just got the Beatles on iTunes and he wanted to celebrate with the world. Be happy for him. :)

Oh it's bigger than that if it's true. Hordes of people don't even realize how much Beatles music they love. Sure they hear it on the radio, but now that it's easily available on their familiar iTunes, it's going to be quite the heyday. Even if it just drives people to the iTunes site/store. They'll buy something while they're there. It's just advertising folks.

There could also be some sort of Beatles ushering a new era of music streaming, but I doubt it.

Okay honestly if THIS is their big announcement then I am honestly not buying an Apple product ever again. If they really are this deceitful to make such a big deal out of something very few people care about then Apple is either stupid or bathing in arrogance.

New to Apple! It took you years to strike a damn deal with their label so you think by now people haven't gotten the music elsewhere? Do you really think people have been holding out until The Beatles music comes out on iTunes??

Who cares? There are so many great bands out there to spend your time and money on, do we need more of The Beatles shoved down our throat? Don't get me wrong. They're a great band but I don't buy into the Baby Boomer fantasy that they are God's Gift To Music. I think about 1 in every 4 of their songs was worthwhile. The rest was absolute crap.

Wouldn't hold your breath on the lossless.

I don't see cloud without a Steve led demo or at 7:00 A.M. PST either.

As others have already said, it makes sense to make the Beatles announcement so early in the day so it gets "normal" people talking about it at home/school/work/retirement home/wherever.

First off, don't get me wrong...I like The Beatles. But seriously. I know it hasn't been announced for sure yet but come on. The iTunes store launched many years ago. Anyone who would have been into band probably owns a majority of the songs they would ever want to own by now. Therefore how is this going to be a day we would never forgot. I respect everyones assumptions but I would be disappointed in Apple if they would take advantage of their marketing campaign/loyal customers just to sign a deal with an artist. Over hyping it in a way such as this is just ridiculous. Just my two cents

This is quite possibly the biggest overreaction I've seen yet. You're not going to buy another Apple product because of an ad on their homepage? What exactly is it they're being deceitful about by the way? Seems to me that they haven't lied about anything. All they said was to check in tomorrow for an announcement. Seems to me that you got your hopes up that it was going to be about something else. It's your own fault if you got this worked up over an announcement on Apple's homepage. Obviously, if they were announcing something groundbreaking they'd have a keynote on it. Get over yourself. Oh, and have fun on your new dell.

Lol and what's funny is 1 in 4 is a better track record than almost any band today.

I love apple products and I will continue to buy them for that sole reason. But arguably the company has been taking advantage of their growth to shove products and announcements down people throats to cause hype. They aren't dummies. It's business...they know by releasing the announcement they are going to receive hype and whether good or bad it's still going to attract attention. Cluttering the media with something as minor as a new place to buy one bands music is pretty obnoxious. Like I said this is speculation so we can wait and see. If that's the only thing they announce I think they will lose some credibility in their announcements for over exaggerating and assuming that everyone is a fan of The Beatles. I know many of us could care less...

Of course, because Apple would advertise one band (a popular band admittedly) coming to iTunes as a day to remember for the rest of your life. Right.

Never underestimate the staying power of the Fab Four or Elvis. They will be remembered and celebrated long after you and your children are dead and forgotten.

this better not be it. another major disappointment from apple. iphone 4 goofs, white iphone, no new iWork, iLife update a joke, and 10.7 not really adding anything groundbreaking. ughhh

If it's the Beatles I'll ignore any Apple announcements for the next, well, at least for a week. What'll be next? The world changing when they get AC/DC?

I'd never forget the day they gave iPhones to everybody who wanted one for free. Or the day they decided to shut down just like that:

"We earned enough money and quit. Thank you all for your support!"

50 years from now, we'll all be looking back and reflecting on what happened on Nov 16th 2010 right apple? We'll know what we were doing and where we were. We'll tell our grandchildren stories and they won't even believe how things were before today. Here are some other dates and days americans commonly remember.

December 7th 1941 -- Pearl Harbor

September 11th 2001 -- Terrorist Attacks

November 22nd 1963 -- JFK Assasinated

April 20th 1999 -- Columbine High School shootings

From the looks of it, Apple appears to be planning something violent, something that will scar our minds and our memories. Are those clocks representing bombs?
Should I be scared?

We'll all just be relieved when it's really just the Beatles coming to itunes.

The only one who has their arms relating to the clock is Paul (the third one) and the beatles were from England and London is in England as well. I am going to be quite disappointed if it just that news though.

Just amazing that people can get so emotional over something that hasn't even been confirmed.

You better start posting up ebay auctions of the items in your signature then!
