Nexus 7 and 4.3 on July 24th, then Moto X even on August 1st.

Should be a one-two knockout punch if Google doesn't disappoint.

Motorola has been know for large batteries. However, Google has become known for the exact opposite in their Nexus phones. Maybe Google had a little too much influence ;)

Also it says that the 1500 mAh battery cannot be confirmed and that that number was only reported by some software running on the phone. So could it be that the phone was not fully charged, making the software think it was only a 1500 mAh battery?

I'm very happy with the excitement Google and Samsung are creating, especially in lieu of the rather disappointing year Apples had so far. In fact there's so many promising new products scheduled to be released from the Android camp I'm going to be kept busy buying and evaluating several new Android devices.

On that thick of a device, I'm sure the battery is larger than 1500 mAh.

If not there will be a lot if facepalm and epic fail pictures come August 1st :)

Not sure Samsung have anything to do with nexus event or Moto event ? ;) besides after their S4 launch event - Google would be well advised to stay clear of their event showcase strategy :D 'me so embarrassing' ... :)

Looks nice but I think the S4 and HTC One look nicer in the front, the back looks like and the shape has over all nice lines.

I still like what the s4 has to offer on the insides - I guess we need to see what features this has compared to its competitors.

Moto is bleeding money and needs a winner, Samsung has long established itself has the major android player and even HTC is struggling to keep up. Moto is even further behind and this phone needs to hit it out of the park

Have they designers learned anything speaker needs to be in front, headset jack on the bottom almost perfect. Damn!

I actually prefer the jack being on top but agreed about the speaker. It's one of the most annoying things about Android phones in general.

Very very nice.

I'm only afraid it won't be released in Europe.
Who knows.

I'm starting to gain more and more interest in this so this is worries me more and more too.

When Dennis Woodside (Motorola CEO) revealed the existence of Moto X at D11 two months ago, he did say: ""The Moto X is going to be broadly distributed -- that's a first for Motorola in a number of years. The support of the carriers has been fantastic."

I can't imagine "broadly distributed" being just all the major carriers here in the states. There's absolutely no reason for this device to be USA/Canada only.

I actually did think he meant broadly as in more than just Verizon but I hope I'm wrong.

That is what I took it as. Made in the USA is actually scary for people in Europe b.c no way it will be "as" available as something made in china.

I hope the battery capacity is a joke.

If it's true, Motorola will need all the luck in the world with Samsung cleaning out everyone.

Maybe if it's cheap, I'll pick one up. But if it's like 500+, no thanks

I thought that too.
Broadly distributed = all carriers. That's why he said: "The support of the carriers has been fantastic."

Good battery, good camera, LTE, 4.3 - 4.5" and $400 or less contract free and I'm sold.

Seems like this and the budget iPhone are going to be the new trend.
