Motorola's New P30 Smartphone Blatantly Copies iPhone X

A chin and a notch? Lol, that display controller issue is really tripping up these copycats.

So, i want to understand this correctly, Apple is upset another company copied Apples design? Hmmm...i think thats the kettle calling the pot black.
And have 10X the technology behind the notch versu the Essential.
I don't think ANYONE is copying anything Essential does. They are a rounding error.

Too bad Apple can't either:
Use their logo as the fingerprint sensor.

Shrink the inductive charging receiver into the logo and use aluminum for the rest of the back.

Actually, iPhone X needs a chin for the Apple branding since that's what you're overpaying over 100% more for, otherwise, they're all Chinese made phones from the same factory.
Strange that people don't get as emotional with cars which are as, if not worse, as far as differentiation.

I was never a fan of Motorola’s smartphones. They even tried some different stuff. This is a shame.

I don't think Apple should be legally allowed to single out only one company.
If you wish to go after companies that directly copy your design, then fine do that, but be consistent.

How is it a better iPhone X? I guarantee when you get your hands on it, it won't feel like a better iPhone X, and the OS running on it certainly won't.

Again its not the "real thing". Look it at the bottom of the phone with the awful logo and the cheesy icons...

It’s been happening for a few years now, but always amazes me that not only do they copy the look of the phone, they even copy things like wallpaper, press shots, marketing material including angles of the phone.
And it’s already been mentioned multiple times - but every android phone shaping out a notch at the top misses the entire point of it: the rest of the display has a thin uniform bezel allowing the screen to reach and curve at all 4 corners of the device.
Amazing that it’s been a year and none of these manufacturers have been able to replicate that (remove the chin) and have true facial recognition jammed into all those sensors within the notch.

at this point, we will soon see a merge as how different can you make a rectangular shape with a cut out for sensors etc. and not copy X? To me, once the whole phone is a display then they will all look alike
