Hard Candy

If you are a guy and have watched it, you know what I am talking about.

If you don't know what I mean, go out and rent it.

You will feel pain.

That is what I was going to nominate. My leg's were firmly crossed throughout that scene.

The rape scene in Clockwork Orange is by FAR worse than RD. I love Reservoir Dogs, it really is a great movie, I guess you just have to have a certain taste to discover the meaning.

Other than not being able to listen to "Singing In The Rain" the most uncomfortable time is watching Super Bad (it wasn't the first time seeing it for any of us) with my mom and dad, and then after it was over saying that is how it really is now guys, then leaving to a party :p.

Yeah, the drawing of the wangs (Super Bad) is pretty funny the first few seconds, then it's just kind of like irritating to me. I know there are plenty of other scenes in the movie that are not fun to watch with family or people you don't know too well. :p

The naked wrestling scene in Borat

I was watching that movie with my mom the first time. I was about to turn it off, she started looking away and my face turned red in embarrassment. I told her this was supposed to be a funny movie, I hadn't heard about that scene. I found a photo of that scene... but it is borderline inappropriate for MR, so instead I present you with this near equally repulsive photo.

Ditto on the sex scenes with family. Any love making going on with my aunts or mother around and I feel extremely uncomfortable. My cousins or friends....no problem.

I also can't stand seeing needles being injected in people.

And, yes, that scene in Hard Candy was the most horrific thing that I have ever seen/heard in a movie. I was holding my balls tightly the whole time. I'm having trauma even thinking about it right now.

The rape scene in The Accused....just made me want to go out and kill some folk, and I wasn't entirely comfortable feeling that way.

Watching "The Miracle of Life" with my family.

Just kidding about the family part. But it was weird watching it with my 9th grade class and a nearly 50 year old woman as our teacher.

Unfortunately, I'll break the rules of the thread and provide something with which I am uncomfortable whether or not someone else is around:

ANYTHING

WITH

HAYDEN

CHRISTENSEN.

Oh my God, wow, this kid can't act.

:D:D

That is hilarious because one of my friends is obsessed with that guy. Mostly for his looks I'm betting though, and not on the acting:p

being unconfortable with a movie comes in all types of forms.

If you have seen the movie Urban Legends 3 (bad movie btw, just happened to be on), theres a scene where this girl is standing in front of a mirror and spiders start to crawl out of her face and then she freaks out and ends up breaking the mirror with her face and her skin starts to come off when she tries to take out the pieces. kinda cheesy but i hate spiders and it gives me the heeby-jeebies.

It also always makes me uncomfortable when someone embarasses the hell out of themselves when trying to be smooth with a girl. It's like they are embarassing enough for everyone that even i feel embarassed for them haha. hard to watch someone seriously crash and burn.

Im trying to think of some movies that really make me cringe but can't think of much else. gotta get back to you on that one.

American History X - the curb biting scene (glad it bothers some other people as well!)

Oldboy - final scenes before the ending (hammers it all home)

Shallow Grave - when burying the body and they smash the teeth with a hammer (the foley artist did a great, but soooo disturbing, job)

A Clockwork Orange - the rape scene/Singing in the Rain always makes me beautifully uncomfortable

The Devils Rejects - initial scenes at the house (i.e. the cheerleader)

As far as all around uncomfortable goes, I don't like anything against children or any sort of "real" war movie. I'm okay with fantasy violence. Braveheart is one of my favorite movies and watching someone's head get cut off doesn't bother me, but Saving Private Ryan? No dice. Can't watch it.

This made me laugh :) I'm not about to argue that Braveheart accurately depicted past events by any means, but I'd definitely say it got closer to the mark than Saving Private Ryan did.

For me, the rape scene in A Clockwork Orange probably tops the uncomfortable list.

I think I'll give Irreversible a miss after reading this thread. Not sure I really want to upset myself over a movie.

A brilliant film that I'm glad I watched and will almost certainly never watch again. Very uncomfortable, very powerful.

I still haven't seen that movie. I bet I would turn it off in the first five minutes though. :p

Your attitude there really annoys me. I can't stand it when guys (I am 16 so there are a hell of a lot of guys I am around like this) are like "Oh, brokeback mountain. Sick!!! I would never watch that. I'd rather (insert really painful abuse to themselves) than watch that movie!!!!" said in a really manly voice. It pisses me off soooo much. I'm not homosexual but it just seems so fake when guys act like that. Sorry, i just hate it a lot. I like to think of myself as a "homo-homophobe".

Definitely this is the one I will always remember, it really make an impression on me: how violent a person can be without any weapon.

that is the one and only scene EVER that has made me cringe. No other bit of a movie has ever made me do that. And I have watched a hell of a lot of movies.

The funny thing is that the movie has far more emotional intimacy than physical intimacy. Apparently the sight of two guys expressing their feelings for each other is just as scary as seeing them get it on.

We once watched a short film when I was doing film studies at College, and long story short at the end this girl that the film is focused on (Chav, as we'd describe her) throws this plastic bag that shes been holding throughout the film into a river. Then, rather shockingly, a fetus comes out under the water.

Not nice.
