Well I don't know the laws there (you're in Japan right?), but I'm pretty sure there are ways for them to get their stuff back. I mean otherwise there are massive loopholes for fraud. Just because they make a mistake doesn't mean the property is now yours. To me it's the same principal/logic as when banks make errors and people assume they will get to keep the moneyAnd I don't want to come off as taking some moral high ground, but to me keeping a system you haven't paid for due to a shipping error is basically theft.
I'm in the mids of building a games console... Core i7 based. Still not found a decent case perhaps that case is sitting right before me.. something like this?

dont worry I'll bring Apples attention to this thread, then they can make their minds up!
Some of the people on this forum are the reason why I'm ashamed to say i'm a fan of apple products and also a human being and I think perhaps need to look at themselves before being so quick to judge others or go running to mummy (apple)
To the OP "Just keep this MP and don't loose any sleep about it and if i was in your position I'd be pissed that it was only a 2.8Ghz system." I would also just ignore some of the clowns on this forum but do keep us updated!! Such as if you ever do get your display and what not.

Please refer to an earlier posting and
you'll learn the package was addressed to my home but I didn't order
it, nor doesn't appear on my invoice.
Is the book your quoting from about Japanese or
American law as I don't think American law in applicable in Japan.....
I brought the first one while working and living in Japan. [...] I brought
pound sterling at the lowest going rate and purchased yet another MacPro!!

That's irrelevant. But if you're so confident, why not write to Apple
and thank them for their "gift" to you. I strongly recommend you do
not seek work as a barrister.
Ultraneo was quoting UK law. I was responding to that. I understand
that Ultraneo was in the UK when the delivery was made. Other posts
support that. E.g.:
People who pull stunts like this force companies to pass the loss onto the rest of the consumers. In an effort to regain these losses, increased prices are sure to happen, but lowered customer service seems highly probable as well. This happened to a Friend of mine.
He ordered a new computer and they sent him a $5,000 server. He signed for it and when he opened it saw it was a server. Looked it up online and seen it sold for 5K.
A week later he gets a call saying they want their server back and he plays dumb. They say we know you have the server and they throw out a few threats. About 5 minutes later the guy says Merry Christmas rudely and hangs up.
He sells the server and buys the $1000.00 computer he ordered.
Now just wait for your second monitor to show up!
Plans for the second machine? Sell it? Keep it?
but what could I do with a 2Gb system beside surf?
Not much...but why not drop another 30GB in there and have a MacRumors contest to win it?

Out of toys?!?If I had 30Gb, I'd install it into my main system.
Just for the fun!!![]()
That is the second monitor.
I meant your free monitor showing up that you didn't order!
If that happens, I would be ecstatic.
