Installed ios 7 on my ipad3 and iPhone 4. Hated it. Safari was horrible, text too tiny & dont like not having the buttons. New music app is horrendous, smaller album art? Wtf happened to full scream gorgeous album covers? And it has a white background to blind you as you drive, oh and you can't shuffle genres . And was way too slow on iPhone 4. Rolled back to 6 on both devices

I wouldn't be surprised if a large number of those people would revert back to iOS 6. iOS 7 feels rushed, it's great in some ways, but horrible in other ways.

Are you having any problems with it working?

I have a few issues with reading certain colors on other colors. But otherwise it just feels like an animated theme on top of iOS 6.

Best feature: Access the flashlight from the lock screen!

Worst feature: Having to "scroll" (slide?) through the camera choices.

I will resist iOS7 with every last breath until they will finally fix those fugly childish icons.
I cannot believe that they cannot find anyone to design the icons so that they do not look as fugly as they are now. This is outrageous.
It does not matter if the functionality improves to whatever level. The look is wrong makes me disgusted to even look at them.

Apple will view this as an extremely successful launch of iOS7 and thankful that there isn't a repeat of iOS6 Maps.

Well done.

I imagine there will be another spike over the weekend. The fast adoption rate should make it an easier decision for developers wanting to use iOS7-only APIs. Looks like it's essentially the end of the road for my trusty iPad1 though, that's sad.

The only complaint I have so far that is "Functional" in nature vs. aesthetic, is the placement of the Bluetooth on/off button on the Command Center panel. when connecting to my car's bluetooth, I turn on Airplay (airplay icon), and when swiping away the command center panel, my finger slides down over the bluetooth button, thereby turning bluetooth off. It takes forever to re-establish a connection with the car after the first connection had been made.

It's not the functionality of the button, but the placement of that button is in the most inconvenient location.

Agreed. The intuitive and very readable user interface has been replaced with a "thin" and "modern" gimmick user interface that is less intuitive and very hard to read. My eyes hurt, I'll probably go back to iOS6.

Turn on BOLD in the accessibility area. Makes all the difference. Still don't like the Bold font, but it's now very readable and the OS is much easier to use, if not as beautiful (to Jonny at least).

What did you put in your coffee?!

Can anyone comment on how iOS 7 performs on iPad 3? I would like to upgrade, but I'm a bit afraid that it will get sluggish… (I still remember how I upgraded to iOS 4 on iPhone 3G and suffered…)

Edit: I just saw ValSalva already commented on that.

I did on mine as well and it ran well. There might be an occasional - "why'd it do that?" moment but overall the 3 runs it well.

Be sure and do a shutdown and restart after its completely finished updating and you've hopped in it for a few minutes (that seems to help).

I'd roll it back immediately (as in today) - at the moment you can do this because Apple is still activating the 6.x installs, as soon as they stop that (and it won't be long) you'll be stuck in 7 land (where we need to go anyways, but it'll just be a tad slower process for a few of us - rolled my iPad back this morning, mostly to see if I could do it). ;-)

Absolutely pleased here with iOS7. It is like a new phone. I would personally update just for the control center pop-up. Has everything I want in one immediately available tab. Not exactly missing the felt, wood and faux textures of 6 either. This clean interface is very nice, along with greater folder capacity - my phone has never looked so organized.

Agreed. I don't miss the textures. But I do miss drop shadows and glowing edges and other non-flat things like that. They are helpful.

Rushed, aka no attention to detail. Usually, it's not like apple to miss simple things, like centering a tab...

Can't think of any major OS release that was 100% flawless. I am talking, iOS, Android, Mac OS, Windows, Ubuntu, or even Solaris. After all, Humans are still coding this stuff.

I think a few graphics, animation, or image anomalies are tolerable. Once we see mass reports of data loss, crashing of native applications, crashing of applications utilizing the new iOS7 code, or phones being bricked, I will start to think it is a rushed & problematic release.

No attention to detail? Look what I found in the notification center today!

I find it very hard to read. Such a frequently used user interface element can't be that hard to read and ugly.

Go into Settings->General->Accessibility and choose "Bold Text". It makes everything better IMHO (did this on iPhone and iPad). This will make you restart your device.

There is an Increase Contrast option right below, I just turned it on today. I'm not seeing any difference yet. I've even looked the few places that I know I've seen issues but I can't tell...

Yes, I've personally been counting pixels on every screen. Tons of people will downgrade when they see that!

It's visually obvious. The illustration was to provide proof to the quoted request. "Look at all the pretty colors!"

I totally disagree...

What is the problem? I downloaded it, and all of the glitchiness of iOS 6 is gone. IOS7 is incredibly smooth, no battery issues either. Just double click the home button, swipe up, and close everything! This new operating system is much much better than IOS 6. I love it! Especially the blocking phone numbers/texts feature.

By far the best operating system thus far, and seriously smooth!
