Ive said it before, we dont need no stinkin 5G, 4G LTE+ was already energy efficient and proven for 100Mbps, I dont want to video stream a baseball match at 4K on a full stadium nor do I want to stream fortnite on 8K from a shadow box in Singapore while I commute on a bike lane, please, Apple, release iphones without any 5G capability whatsoever next year, because courage & we cant innovate my AS.

Multiple reports of dropped 5G and LTE connectivity have appeared on Reddit, on Apple's support forums, and on the MacRumors forums, with many people suffering issues when walking or in transit and some seeing the same problem when stationary.

Several users report suddenly losing all reception bars and seeing a "no service" message
So you see what using an iPad mini is like out and about. It does this constantly, or my other favorite, showing full bars on LTE, even full bars on cell and wifi both, and then kicking up errors trying to do anything requiring internet, that the device isn’t connected, & telling us to turn cellular on. I used to save screenshots of mine doing it until I realized it was a nearly daily occurrence, and just something I had to accept, like the troubles with the MacBook Pro, as the reliability of all this consumer tech (along with everything else) continues to decline as time goes by.

No issues with my 12 Pro Max. And 5G is working great for me in Victoria Australia. Regularly getting over 800mbps on sub 6. Being that there are so many of these devices being manufactured there is bound to be some issues.

5G is something that's considered "on par" with newly released phone –though I personally find it totally useless, especially in Europe.

When it comes to "courage" though, the 12 is a collection of gimmicks with a nice screen and camera. Batteries are smaller and lightning is still a thing. The flat rail is .. been there done that. No ProMotion. MagSafe is so decorative, superficial and inefficient it's insulting. The magnets can indeed demagnetise your cards and the puck can damage leather cases. The accompanying accessories are an expensive afterthought and the whole "environment" angle was PR fluff for selling more accessory SKUs separately without even absorbing the cost saving of removing the brick from the package. The notch is still the same after four years, because why the hell not. The Pro barely makes sense as a device compared to the regular 12, and the best camera of the lot is reserved for the ridiculously jumbo sized Pro Max.

Just... why? Only reason I can think of is SKU bloat and boosting accessory sales.

I don't know, I'm looking forward to get the 12 mini as my next company phone for its wieldy form factor, but I sure as hell wouldn't spend my own money on anything 12.

Strange why not everyone is experiencing it.
Try this: Settings -> Mobile Data
Either the connection will repeatedly drop and then reconnect at this point, or
the connection will drop at here: Settings -> Mobile Data -> Data Plans
Note: if you're not at this settings screen, the connection is fine.

This has happened to me here in Australia. It’s only manifested in the last week. Basically I went from 4 bars of 4G/LTE to barely 1 and sometimes nothing except an SOS. Meanwhile my old iPhone X has full coverage.
Going into airplane mode and back fixed it the first time. But since then it has regressed, and no amount of restarting or toggling airplane mode fixes it. Luckily I have wifi calling or I’d be in a real pickle.

I am using an eSIM (no physical SIM at all) if that matters.

Will be reporting to Apple tomorrow.

Just tested at home on 5G with WIFI off and it works great.
iPhone 12 standard and Pro (6.1”) released first. Many people reported connectivity issues.... and now that Mini and Pro Max arrived, many are continuing to report. Hence this post by macrumours...

The connectivity issue isn’t one when “standing still” , however it may be... the primary connectivity issues are: some aren’t able to connect in area previously able and perfectly fine...
...now... it goes into “searching...searching...searching...” and then “No Service”. One either continues to experience “No Service”, or sub-par (not sub6!!) cellular connectivity!!! Apple and Qualcomm (and Carriers) need to address (squash these bugs!) these issues!!

Can’t say I’ve had any issues. Updated from iPhone 8 to 12 mini on Telstra in Australia and regularly see a bar above what I got on the 8, which Telstra ranked as one of the best iPhones for reception (blue tick award)

Hey Macrumors, more than multiple users are also reporting receiving iPhones 12s (all 4) with yellow tinted screens. Please report on that.
Hey Javi

you can either moderate such an topic here yourself or contact the macrumors team directly, the emails can be found on this page. But probably this is too tedious for you?
This gives you the impression of wanting to collect screamers and thumbs.
If this was meant as irony.... well...

Hubby and I have 12 Pro Max’s on Verizon and I knew about this issue with the regular iPhone 12s and 12 pros reading about it on Reddit. The day we got our phones set the phones to LTE only since 5G is not in our area right now. Have had one issue and that was last Wednesday where both phones went to voicemail when trying to call each other when husband got off work. We rebooted both phones and after could call each other. Other than than no service issues since then or before we had that issue that day. So keeping a eye on it closely.

Nope don't have those issues.

Can it be said that the affected people are on a dual sim set-up? If yes, it could have something to do with that.I haven't noticed it on my 12, but then I use a single physical sim.
I have 3 iPhone 12s in my household (Pro and 2 Minis). One of the Minis had the issue yesterday. A restart fixed it, at least for now. No dial SIM, just a physical.

The other two phones have been great so far (although one appears to have a yellowish screen with True Tone on — this is in reference to another phone also with True Tone on and sitting right by it). Their signal is much improved over the XR.

But then the 13 will have something wrong as well. Lol
Exactly. By some definition - EVERY phone will be a "first gen". Technically the iphone 12 is - in actual fact - a "12th gen" device. So enough with the 'first gen' nonsense.
