My Caze ThinEdge review w/ HQ pics

Just to see the difference in person, I just ordered another black case from the eBay link you posted.

Also - I had an older Incipio screen protector on mine and the edges are pushing in slightly causing bubbles which irritates me. Might have to remove the screen protector, because I'm really digging the case.
 
I got mine from Amazon. It was just in a sealed plastic bag, no screen protector. It does say Caze on the side and the tab has the Z on it. I ordered the silver and in the pix it showed a silver tab but I actually got a black and red one.

All in all, fake or not, I really, really like it. I have PS Matte on front and PS clear on back. The front didn't buckle but the back did. I had a extra back so I carefully trimmed just a tiny bit along the top of the PS and no buckling.

I have more cases and bumpers than I should and this by far is my favorite. Shows off the iPhone is all it's beauty.

would you mind posting the packaging? Something funny I noticed earlier today was that the aliexpress packing differs in the two links posted.

As far as the chipping goes are you referring to the tab or the case itself? I'm less worried about the black matte case, the concern is with the shinier silver finish or the white.
 
Oh wow. I'm lucky I searched. I have the bumper in white, but haven't opened it yet.

So looking at their website, the black comes with red and white tab? I have the white iPhone 4S and I'd like to get the white to keep it the same color. So looks like I might have to buy two. So I can buy the white one, and either black or the blue it might seem like. Can anyone confirm? Wish it was a little cheaper like on eBay, but I don't mind actually purchasing from the manufacturers website to be on the safe side. Or does anyone else recommend any other sites? I see lots of listings from Google Shopping.

Also, I'd like to know if anyone has experienced any scuffing on their metal band? I kept reading that the bumper would leave scuff marks and wondered if that was true, and if this did the same?

I only know of the website (iphonecaze.com) and one seller on ebay that seem to sell official authentic Caze products. (http://myworld.ebay.com/iphonecazehk)

the seller states on product page "All items sold in eBay and shipped 10/12/2011 onward, an on-line verification has been added to all our items in order to fight the knock-off, counterfeiting and unauthorized items." They also claim to be the exclusive dealer/reseller of CAZE outside of JP.

Im assuming if it comes with screen protector + pocket wallet stand its genuine ?

Here are pics of the packaging...all the real cases should look like this..do a google search and you'll see similar pics

I have no chipping anywhere, the case has been used for a week and still looks brand new

nothing bad to say about this case...i'm done shopping for the perfect bumper for me :D

Yep that's where mine came from - blue one with pics earlier in this thread. No signs of wear & tear or chipping. I have noticed it is having a slight impact on my screen protector in one corner, but nothing that's too annoying. Haven't used the protectors that came with it.
Tempted to get a clear one if the guy on ebay gets them in stock - or I may try one of these http://tinyurl.com/63pdk3p ;)

I plan to try the screen protector it comes with on my wife's phone tonight so will update if they are any good.

Mine has a slight chip in the plastic. The guy has offered to replace it but with black on black and for £8 i'm not going to bother.

Post close up pix if you buy the Sinjimoru inLite. I couldnt find any reviews of it online or close up pix. Wonder if it interferes with screen protectors. Couldn't tell from the low res product images.

its decent case...but my only little grip is that power and volume button is recessed little too much. I missed the metal buttons from the Apple bumper.

Agree that the power button is recessed a little, but I've seen broken power buttons without a case, so I haven't found it being a problem at all.

The side buttons are very easy to get too being that the case is super slim

I also like that all my third party headphones work perfectly

The case is not for everyone, but fits my needs perfectly :)

Just got home from work to find my silver ThinEdge waiting for me and I have to say that I'm disappointed. My PS screen protector is on perfectly and it causes bubbles in 2 corners and there are 2 chips on the outer shell of the bumper. Maybe my screen protector wasnt made for this bumper and cheap plastic chips: i.e. these things happen and I'm cool with it.

Larger issues though: the power button is completely inaccessible and poor design on the clasp. I can't turn the screen off when holding my iPhone in one hand, I need to literally use my off hand and dig in with a nail. The clasps are poor design and 1 of them comes off VERY easily.

I'm not even close to OCD with these things, and I'm happy some have had good experiences with this bumper, but I'm gonna keep it real with the $6 amazon bumper.
 
Just got mine in today as well. Here's a quick mini-review.

Like Mr. G, I wished the power button was recessed less. Although I can turn the screen on and off with one hand, it is more difficult than I would like. The volume buttons could be less recessed as well but I do not have as much of a problem with them as I do with the power button.

Another thing I noticed were a couple marks on the inside edges of the front of the case. I rubbed at them a little bit to smooth them down since the edges touch the front glass on the phone. They are only noticeable if I am closely inspecting the case though.

As far as screen protectors and bubbling, I did not have a problem with my PS Crystal on the front nor with my Phantom Skinz Matte back. It does look awfully close on a couple of the corners though so I will see if a bubble begins to develop over the course of a couple days.

Regarding fit, I have a Phantom Skinz film on the metal band and the case fits well. It feels a bit tight but in my opinion that is a good thing. I also love the texture of the case. It is very pleasant to the touch and gives a much needed grip to the phone. The tab on the case makes it easy to tell which way the phone is in my hand if I am picking it up or it is in my pocket. It also seems like it is less likely to slide out of my hand even without the matte texture. No matter which hand I am gripping it with if I let the phone slide down a bit one of my fingers will end up resting against the bottom of the tab.

Overall, I am happy given the case cost $14 shipped and I received it in only 3 days. Although the increased difficulty pressing power button is a little bothersome, the fit and feel of the case makes up for it.

It took awhile to get them perfectly placed though. I will probably be ordering the white one soon. Thanks OP for letting us know about this case. The sleep/wake is hard to get to but not a problem with my small fingers. Here's some pics...

I'd like one of these but I want a black one with the black fastener, and it looks like they all come with red or white.
 
Like mentioned away from the recessed problem...main gripe is again it won't fit with my cigarette charger???? I have the griffin in both of my cars. Arggggggg

Forget it...I guess my desmay and apple bumper will have to suffice for now.

I need to go and design a case!!! Now to find a good quality Chinese manufacture???? LOL.

Wow looks great! ordered the same for my white 4S and was torn between the white and silver case. Cant wait to get it after seeing these pics

Got a white one yesterday,came with all the correct packaging as above,so I'm pretty sure its genuine,the white one i got came with a red and white tab....
