My Caze ThinEdge review w/ HQ pics

I got one from Amazon, a black one with two clasps - black and purple. Very cheaply "packaged" - very much a knock off. But it was cheap ($14) and shipping was free, so I can't complain.

It is making both my front PS Antiglare HD protector and my back iCarbons CF skin bubble in at least one corner, but the bubbling is minor, so I can deal with it for now. Now I have to decide whether to stick with the knock-off or find the real thing. So far, the knock-off is doing a fine job other than the bubbling.

Used the front and rear protector on my wife's white iPhone today and TBH they aren't too bad, although I am an expert on screen protector application, front 18 hours in looks perfect. Will update if it goes south ;)

1-Lucky Lab black wraps w/ silver case and red fastener
2-Lucky Lab black wraps w/ black case and green fastener

Using option 1 right now...

got mine today from ebay. The original seller that's listed from the first page.
pretty sure it is a knock off. no cleaning cloth, no screen protectors, no pocket stand. also got red/black fasteners. if you look on the website, my version (black) should come with white/red fasteners.

that being said. i really like the case. will try to return the knock off, and buy it from the source....

Hmm got mine from same eBay seller too and I'm pretty sure it's a knock off. That being said, I still love it and a steal at $14! I may get the real deal just to see how it compares ;)
 
I just received my bumper from the same ebay seller that map1978 ordered from. I'm pretty sure this is legit, since it came not only with the box including bumper, screen protectors, cleaning cloth, and pocket stand, but it also came with an additional pair of "professional" iphone 4G (sic) screen guards separate from the box! Kind of pointless since I have no need for more screen guards, but the thought is nice :)

Unfortunately, my box came with red and white fasteners as the pictures indicate. I was really hoping for a black fastener so I would have a solid black look for my phone, but alas, 'twas not meant to be.

Good news: I use a power support crystal protector for the front and an iCarbons c-f teksure on the back. I was incredibly careful to place both protectors on in the direct middle of the phone when I installed them, and I'm happy to say that I do not get any air bubbles whatsoever when I use the Caze thinedge!

And lastly, this might elicit a "Duh" from many people, I'm incredibly happy that I do not experience any signal loss from this bumper. Yes, I know, there really isn't any possibility of this happening anyway, but everyone said the same thing about the e13ctron s4v hybrid, which I'm returning since I'm experiencing a consistent 12-15 db loss everywhere I go. Suffice to say, I was pleased I wouldn't be experiencing that again!
 
I saw the YouTube video about the paint from the little tab running to the bumper. Is anyone having this problem as well? I want to buy it but I'm not sure yet. I order e13ctron case but their customer service sucks and I want to cancel my order.

I ordered the silver one for a friend from the linked e-bay page and I received it today with all of the same stuff..including the additional screen guards. The silver game with red & white fasteners as well. She was hoping for a black fastener but she'll have to deal. :D
 
Actually, I think e13ctron has great customer service. I called them today, and I think Jacob picked up and was very patient and polite about my signal loss issue. He explained that he wasn't able to answer many emails lately because he just got back from a trade show. He allowed me to return my case for a full refund.

The majority of owners of the s4v hybrid do not experience any signal loss. It may be determined by the area or perhaps even the phone... I have no idea :/ Overall, I think e13ctron make the best cases and I'm extremely pleased with the build quality, I just can't stomach the signal loss because I have horrible reception where I live to begin with :)

I'm not too sure about the paint running onto the bumper, but that's why I'm going to order lucky lab decals anyway. They're only $10 for 3 with free shipping, and I think you can use a coupon code for 35% off.
 
how much does this case raise the iphone? I really want a bumper, but also one that can give some sort of protection by raising the phone when I put it on a table etc.

It raises it a good amount. I would say the same as the Apple bumper. I am not afraid of placing it on a table at all.



For those wanting to know about the white case... I have to say it is starting to discolor, but not too badly. Give me a week and I'll upload some photos. Again it isn't too bad and still matches up with the white iphone pretty well. We'll see in a week.

I ordered one from ebay UK and I messaged the guy asking him about the fasteners and he said the current batch are from a new stock that comes with a red fastener and a black fastener. Mine is due to arrive today – will update this when I receive it later on……
 
Man, I really like the Caze Clear Gray one...I think that plus carbon fiber antenna band covers and back glass would look GREAT.

and the white has a matte finish? It appeared to be glossy in the pics

I got mine from that seller too, but somehow mine looks like it's knock off. It comes with the box but it's missing the screen protectors and the stand. And, there are dents on the bumper.
I'll probably buy it again from the caze website as I like the design.

Hmm, just contact the seller, I'm sure they will take care of it for you. They are always responsive to emails I send them.

Caze is also working on new ThinEdge cases coming soon too :D
