My Caze ThinEdge review w/ HQ pics

....ok, so got home and found my case! Mine was purchased from eBay uk from the guy in the pic!

Mine came with a red tab and a matte black tab. Can't snap pics with the case on the phone as I don't have a second camera to snap my phone!

First impressions are good - it's the slimmest bumper case I currently have ( slimmer than my current SGP Neo Hybrid Ex). The power button is very recessed so you have to dig in with your finger to access it.

The only other issue is that I currently have a carbon back skin in the rear of my phone (which is quite thick) and the Caze case causes this to bubble at all 4 corners. Also, it's causing my screen shield, on the front, to bubble just underneath the power button.

I've gone back to my SGP but I will probably still use it if I decided to remove my rear skin as then, it probably won't cause any bubbling.

I've included some pics of the Case and the seller!!

My white case from eBay arrived today!

Initial impressions: It came with a white and red fastener instead of the red and green on the official website. The packaging is the same as Dino F's above. It came with a small cloth and caze branded film for the front and back.

The Good:
- Looks great and feels better in the hand than the Apple bumper
- Fits well with the included screen/back protectors, not loose and doesn't push the film.
- I like having the white + red fastener combo with the white bumper.
- The included film protectors feel great and don't detract visually or interfere with head detection. I was going to check out SGP but will probably use these for now.

The Bad:
- There were noticeable red/pink stains on the white bumper above and below the fastener, and some pink spots on the white fastener. The red fastener was fine. I spent some time with rubbing alcohol (beware, this wears away the rubbery coating) and removed the pink stains.
- The back had a small curl in the plastic about a .5" long. I used an xacto to smooth out the curl.
- Harder to hit the power button using one hand.

Because of the QC issues, I believe I got a knock-off and this may be a dealbreaker for some. For $14 I can live with the flaws. Thanks again to the OP for this thread.

Did u get the card stand? If not probably knock off
 
Yep, it came with the little Caze card stand. For whoever's interested, the seller was "betterdiscount" on eBay.

So I received my white one today. Ordered the silver one previously. Both are from eBay seller with link on first page and now I'm convinced they are the real deal. My silver one did not come with the wallet stand and packaged with separate no name screen projectors. Made me think it was a knockoff. Now my white one came sealed with Caze screen protectors and the wallet stand. No difference between quality of the two. Seems to me the dented or extra material people are finding on the case are ejection points from the mold. I don't think I'll be buying any cases for my iPhone anytime soon!
 
after the SwitchEasy nude case scratched my iphone 4s and reading great reviews here - I ended up buying the Black Matt version of this case.

Now I am thinking of buying a back skin for the phone and thinking if anyone has tried either Leaf or Trunket skin with this bumber?
 
Yep looks like the one I purchased from Amazon is indeed NOT the real thing. Turns out I didn't really like the case so I'm not upset.
 
hmm looks like from the people who ordered from better discounts (US), only moyank has received the silver with red/white, whereas reebs, map, etc. received the silver with silver/green tab. I personally asked the seller for pics and info about the tabs and he responded that they're green and silver. IOW, I have a paper trail if they end up being red and white lol. I actually like the red but it seems to smear/chip for some reason unlike the other colors.

My friend has had the silver case with the red fastener on her phone since Monday...and so far no smearing or chipping. And the red is actually more of a deep maroon...it looks pretty cool. She really wanted either silver or black but the red is growing on her. Maybe we should start a fastener swap for those who got colors they didn't want. :D
 
What I got was the silver case for my future white iPhone 4s. It came with a silver tab and a green tab. Looks great and the case feels so nice in the hands. Will have pictures of it on the phone in two weeks when my contract is up and I can finally get the iPhone 4s.

heh the blue case with the red tab posted by RA19 looks pretty crazy...and would match my blue monster quite well. That said I don't believe anyone here ordered the blue from betterdiscount in the US to confirm the tab colors.

this is why I got the black and silver cases...I've been swapping colors and fasteners every day it seems :D

no signs of wear anywhere on the case and fasteners too

ALSO..added a HD powersupport antiglare (tired of smudges) and no bubbles at all...has to be aligned properly though...had to realign my gf's antiglare from slight bubbles, but worked fine after a quick fix
 
Anyone get one of the clear series yet? I am digging the gray/smoke one but would like to see some real life pics.

for those of you who wants to know more. i returned mine from ebay (L*na). Getting one from the "official" website. For whatever it's worth, it's coming from HK. I probably wont receive the case until Sat. at the earliest. Will let you know if quality/packing is different. (recap: got one from ebay, edges were not perfect, meaning two or three places, you have little plastics sticking out. No accessories were included. When i tried to return was offered a discount... *wink wink* for those of you who are more adventurous and not afraid to be called out on your bluff)

At the end, everything may just be the same without any quality differences, except the $$$.

wait a minute...my shipping notice using the ebay link on the first page from map states the seller "betterdiscount" is also Lina...I thought these were official?

They are

If your getting the case with caze screen protectors, stand, and cloth, then they are official.

If you don't wanna get from a reseller, just order from the Caze site. Only a few dollars difference.

There customer service is great too

Just a heads up...Caze is coming out with new metallic ThinEdge cases...look really really nice.

Will post a review when I receive them :D
