wait a minute...my shipping notice using the ebay link on the first page from map states the seller "betterdiscount" is also Lina...I thought these were official?

yep. that's what i'm saying. she may have some official ones, repackaged ones. i'm not sure what the deal is. i got mine without a stand, cloth, nor screen protectors. that's the reason why i'm returning mine.
BUT
they may all come from the same factory, since after all the "official" ones are coming from HK. I'm just going to pay a small difference for my beloved iphone.

Just got my Caze ThinEdge in Clear.

Initial impressions are great so far. The case does cause the screen protectors to bubble up, I am using some cheap screen protectors from Monoprice so that might be why. I ended up taking off the front protector and replaced it with the Caze front screen protector and everything fits fine now. The case feels great in my hand and it might be one of my favorite cases so far. Second favorite case is the Griffin Reveal Frame in Black...white one is crappy.

I attached some pics..sorry about the picture quality, I quickly snapped these.

Nice! What's your opinion as far as "lay on the table" protection? Is there enough of a lip around the screen to protect it when it's laying flat? Also, did you order straight from Caze? If so, how long did it take from the day you ordered to the day you received it (and where are you located?)

Yup, there is enough lay on the table design. I can't quite say that this case will protect the phone in a drop though. I ordered this case from Ebay seller, "iphonecazehk", it was a UK auction. It took a total of 8 days from order date to arrival. I am located in California, US.

Great, thanks! I want to get one but I don't want to wait 2-3 weeks from HK :p

I'll check out that ebay seller you mentioned. Is yours legit/authentic? Or a knockoff?

Here is white on white. The red tab is a little brighter than the picture displays. It is pretty thin and it is compatible with all my docking stations. I love the white on white. It is getting a little dirty from frequent use though, I might order a black one just because they are so cheap! I ordered from the same vendor as Map. Thanks Map for the heads up!

Thanks, just ordered a silver one. I'm really partial to the green tab but it seems that the silvers now are coming with the red tab. Would anyone be willing to trade?

You mean this guy

love this look and layout design. but wish they integrated a button to extend the sleep/wake button. wife has the sgp linear and she hate that she needs to dig down to click the button.

besides apple's bumper, any similar style cases that have the sleep/wake button extended?

TIA!

The graft is the first one that comes to mind. But it is currently getting "fixed" and goes for almost 4x the price using ebay

....ok, so got home and found my case! Mine was purchased from eBay uk from the guy in the pic!

Mine came with a red tab and a matte black tab. Can't snap pics with the case on the phone as I don't have a second camera to snap my phone!

First impressions are good - it's the slimmest bumper case I currently have ( slimmer than my current SGP Neo Hybrid Ex). The power button is very recessed so you have to dig in with your finger to access it.

The only other issue is that I currently have a carbon back skin in the rear of my phone (which is quite thick) and the Caze case causes this to bubble at all 4 corners. Also, it's causing my screen shield, on the front, to bubble just underneath the power button.

I've gone back to my SGP but I will probably still use it if I decided to remove my rear skin as then, it probably won't cause any bubbling.

I've included some pics of the Case and the seller!!

.......thought I'de update this with some pics of the case on my phone ( quality of pics are pretty good considering they were taken on my ancient Nokia N95!)

How is everyone carrying their phone with this case on it. Do they make a belt clip to use with this case, or is everyone just putting phone in their pocket?

Just the pocket

Sena makes a side belt clip case compatible with the apple bumper...i'm sure this case would fit just fine (especially since it's not rubber like the apple bumper)

Does anyone have a black connector piece they'd be interested in trading? I have a red or white one that I'd like to trade for a black one.

Thanks!

Hey Dino F, which back skin are you using? Did you have to cut the skin to use it with this case?

... its just a non branded carbon back which I got off ebay. Some of them are really thick though and when I put the bumper on my phone - it caused the carbon back to bubble up at all 4 corners.

Luckily - I had a few of these carbon backs (from various different sellers) and I noticed that one of these was cut a little smaller than the rest, so once I changed it over - no more bubbling!

The bumper itself sits very close to the back of the phone so you may very well experience bubbling of a rear protector unless its applied 100% centrallly.

My white case from eBay arrived today!

Initial impressions: It came with a white and red fastener instead of the red and green on the official website. The packaging is the same as Dino F's above. It came with a small cloth and caze branded film for the front and back.

The Good:
- Looks great and feels better in the hand than the Apple bumper
- Fits well with the included screen/back protectors, not loose and doesn't push the film.
- I like having the white + red fastener combo with the white bumper.
- The included film protectors feel great and don't detract visually or interfere with head detection. I was going to check out SGP but will probably use these for now.

The Bad:
- There were noticeable red/pink stains on the white bumper above and below the fastener, and some pink spots on the white fastener. The red fastener was fine. I spent some time with rubbing alcohol (beware, this wears away the rubbery coating) and removed the pink stains.
- The back had a small curl in the plastic about a .5" long. I used an xacto to smooth out the curl.
- Harder to hit the power button using one hand.

Because of the QC issues, I believe I got a knock-off and this may be a dealbreaker for some. For $14 I can live with the flaws. Thanks again to the OP for this thread.

I just got my silver with silver and green tab today from the same seller. Some problems with QC, notably on the rear of the case, there are two areas where there are chips in the case where it touches the plastic portion of the phone. Incidentally one is on the right a bit below the apple logo and the other on the left is about in line with the FCC. I've already contacted the seller about this...but dont really want to be caseless for yet another week, and this seems to be par for this case. I really wouldn't mind if they were extra material and could be sanded/xactoed off, but this case there is material missing.

I also wanted to note that on my silver case there are areas where the paint seems to be coming off, and around each of the corners you can see a noticeable "crease" where the plastic is stressed from taking on and off. I purchased from the seller in the original post through ebay.

My silver one is also very bad quality. Lots of casting marks and creases on the case.

I ordered a black one from the Caze website and I have to say the bumper finish is perfect, no flaws at all. The red tab does have a white spot right at the bottom where it looks like the plastic is cut from mold. (I am guessing because I am not sure how these are made but it looks like an end point)

Bumper is really nice and I like the finish, I just don't like the look of the tab sticking out. Maybe if I had a black tab it wouldn't stick out so much to my eye. For now I am switching between the Graft Leverage and SGP Hybrid EX. I wish the SGP Hybrid EX had the same finish on the plastic frame as the Caze ThinEdge. To me that would be the close to perfect bumper case.
