They ALWAYS go thru Louisville, this is their main, mainland hub. Has nothing to do with getting them early or not. You can still end up getting it early.
Yours is starting from a US warehouse?
8:50p means it has not left hong kong yet. probably will be on the next flight on 10/12 (hong kong time)
What makes you say it won't leave there until 3am?

Mine too. I think this means it will leave Hong Kong on UPS (5X) #61 at 16:05 local time, or 1:05 AM Pacific time Wednesday morning. It's just over a 9 hour flight, so it should arrive in Alaska Wednesday at about 10 AM.
Therefore I think it's conceivable that I could get my phone in Portland on Thursday.

Mine arrived in KY (a 10 hour drive, 50 minute flight) from my house at 9:28am eastern today. As much as I would love to get it early, I highly doubt it will get here before Friday.
Yup, She was very clear on that. I had read further back in this thread that Apple had some state side already.. I never thought that mine was one of them..
Just wondering if its a White 32 gig thing.. I have seen a lot of people not having theirs shipped yet..

My white 32GB came from China.
Mine hasn't shipped yet (as far as I can tell). 16gig Black. Maybe mine is sitting in some US warehouse next to yours hahaha

Mine was received in Louisville this am at 9:30am EST. It's certainly a long delay between today in Louisville and Friday in Chicago. Unless they're going to not hold UPS accountable for delivering on Friday, they must be planning on holding them in Louisville for a couple of days.
I ordered a 64 BLack Att phone one Friday at 9 AM eastern time and mine has not shipped nor shows up on ups or fedex! I called apple and talked to a machine who talked to me like he was a person. It was distressing. I have a call in to my therapist cause i am not sure i can take the stress. I mean, i have a 3gs and all and i REALLY need my iPHONE 4S!
So sigh...

On second thought, I think it might be on flight 61, seeing as how that's the first flight of the day out of Japan to Anchorage for October 12th. I still haven't been updated from the China Origin Scan
UPS59 will arrive in Anchorage and then head to Ontario.

I just got another scan 11:40PM Departure Scan in Shenzhen, its on its way to Hong Kong and Hopefully it will depart this day
Considering all the updates with iCloud/auto-syncing/PC-FREE...etc., Apple should just let us track our phones while they are in their boxes using "Find My Iphone"....lol
Rather than making us paranoid and OCD over every minute of updates on this forum.
I had this same thought yesterday. Send them out charged and on, include a serial in our shipment email and let us gps them in real time. You have to think it would take a load off of the ups/fedex/sprint/att/verizon/apple servers if they were fielding less questions.
Pipe dreams I know, but it it fun to dream.
LOL, it's Ontario, California. I think it's their hub.

Wouldn't location services in the iPhone use a crapload of data and battery?
They could plug them in while they preparing for shipment. Gosh mine has been preparing for so long it has got to be bored.

Preparing for shipment means that the phone is already wrapped up and are sitting in huge containers ready to go. I surely don't want my phone opened.
