i found the solution!!!!!!!!
so right now my tracking number from apple is at
Shenzhen, China 10/11/2011 11:40 P.M. Departure Scan
10/11/2011 6:27 P.M. Origin Scan
China 10/11/2011 9:10 A.M. Order Processed: Ready for UPS

BUT i hit "get status updates" and set it up to get up dates to my phone. less than a minute later i get a text
"UPS [link] IN TRANSIT LOUISVILLE, KY, US as of 10/11-2011 11:41 PM Txt STOP to Stop"

i'm soooo happy!!!

We are on the same flight!

You mean lots of phones left china earlier than the ones that are leaving now and that those phones are being shipped to customers from here in the US? I guess that makes sense because I bet it would be hard for the workers in China to get 1 million + phones out in one week. Is that what you are saying?

exactly what i'm saying, my rep says we'll see them leave warehouses either tnight tomorrow or thursday afternoon latest in that case they will be overnight shipped. She told me they seem to have "stocked up on 64gb phones in the us"

That's how it went for me. I received the shipping confirmation from Apple around the same time the plane landed in AK.

I could be wrong, but I'm reading the text as saying that it's in transit to KY. Not that it's actually in KY. Because it's been saying that on mine since it was in the air en route from Hong Kong to Anchorage. Yes, it's still technically en route to KY, but that doesn't mean that delivery's imminent.

May be a bit off topic but I just spoke with a senior apple rep about my 64gb white phone and he assured me that even though the apple webpage is not updating there are a ton of phones they they shipped to the states early and my phone will be leaving from that batch. So if you did order real early and you have no idea where your phone is then this is probably the case with yours as well.

Also ordered a White 64GB within the first 2 minutes of Apple.com going live, no update at all and nothing registering with UPS.

The White 16GB I ordered about 2 hours after Apple.com went live got a shipping confirmation Sunday night in the first batch of emails and is sitting in Louisville.

Not worried.

I'm surprised this didn't carry over from previous releases: go to iship.com and enter your tracking number. You get unfiltered results and more accurate scans as compare to ups.com. Ship ties in directly to UPS's tracking system and shows you scans ups.com normally filters out to make it easier for users to understand.

EDIT: hit "Track It" on the right. Then hit it again. Then enter your tracking info.

This didn't show me anything different from what UPS supplies.

Come to Mama

Mine has been in Louisville, KY since 2am. I think they're holding it until apple says it's ok to release. It got from china in no time and I see no movement for over 12 hrs. :(

Move .... MOOOOVVVE! :)

I use Newegg's tracker, seems to show the same info :p If you ordered anything off Newegg just grab their tracking link and update the tracking code with the new one.. if not, just use this:

http://www.newegg.com/Info/TrackOrder.aspx?TrackingNumber=

Add your tracking number at the end. Works mostly for Fedex and UPS, not sure what else...

I have tried to check my order on the UPS website using both my phone number and order number (minus the last two digits) as the reference number... It cannot find anything.

I see several people can track their phones, and a lot of people have their phones already shipped to the US. On apple's website, it says "preparing for shipment" est delivery date Oct 14.

Not worried one bit. I'm pretty confident my order will either be canceled (like many others were) or that I will receive the phone on Friday. I just kind of wish I could track the phone just so I know FOR SURE my order won't be canceled.

I am in the same boat as you I feel like we are the only ones that can't get any info, but i doubt you will be cancelled, i know i will get it on friday just sucks we can't enjoy the thread of watching our phone move. The lack of info is whats getting to me. BTW I did my reservation at 530 am, then completed at 11, what about you?

Yea I've noticed it too. The iship works for USPS shipments too. UPS Mail Innovations as well.

Just wondering sorry if this was stated in previous posts, but i took my reservation at 530 am, then completed my actual order at 11 am. is the reservation as if I completed my order at 530 am? or is it like i did my order at 11 am? any info would be appreciated!

Awesome - using this it tells me it's in transit to Louisville, which the UPS site didn't tell me. :) Thanks guys
