Still nothing on either shippers site for me.

Don't stress. Verizon will ship from the US. The process will start a little later but get to you on the 14th or a day or two early...
I am assuming this only works if ordered through Apple. I ordered through AT&T and I see nothing with UPS or FedEx.

stopped crashing) but no change in status. At least I never had a backordered status.

OH YEAH! This trick worked for me. Tried Fedex, then UPS. UPS it is. Set for Oct 14 delivery.

Not working!!!!
I ordered my my 4S as soon as apple opened up, then it got reserved and i finished the order before 7:30am EST. and still nothing. this blows, it says it ready for shipment but the UPS and Fedex sites still say they cant find any order.

Nothing here yet either, ordered from Apple at 2:45 PST. Preparing for shipment! UPS or FedEx don't work for me either.

I'm a Verizon customer who ordered from Apple, mine is still in Preparing for shipment status, and no status yet found on UPS or Fed Ex yet.
I am thinking if they sold 1 Million on the preorder in the first 24 hours, and they are looking to get every unit out by the 14th, a lot of us will deal with delays on updates

Let's see a screenshot to prove it really is scheduled to be delivered on the 12th.
Everyone else's tracking numbers have shown that their scheduled delivery isn't til the 14th.
Online it says the 14th for me as well, but I called UPS twice both times they said their system is more updated than what I see online and both people said I am scheduled for delivery Oct 12th, 2011 by 10:30 AM. I Said please confirm this because I need to be at that location for signing, she said yes, baring any customs issues it will be delivered the 12th.
When I ordered the 3GS at launch, I had a delivery date a few days before the official release. Apple will have the shipper withhold delivery until the appropriate day, however (and this probably won't become apparent until you try to track the shipment on the day it claims it will be delivered). I would guess even a UPS rep isn't going to know about the hold; Apple might not even communicate it until the day before or so.
For those who have gotten their shipping info at the carriers websites has your Apple order status changed to shipped yet or is it still at preparing for shipment?
