No flights from HK to KY so I'm assuming it's on its way to alaska first ;P

Same here. Mines on the same flight.

Ordered from Apple within the first hour. 64Gig black ATT. Status on Apple.com changed to "prepairing to ship" on Saturday afternoon. Saw this post last night and was able to find my tracking info on UPS right away. UPS site says delivery by end of day on the 14th. I have not called UPS to see what they say - I'll wait till tomorrow and see where it is then.

Last year it seemed that UPS had a hard time keeping the tracking info updated as it got closer to the date but they delivered on time so if yours has not updated yet, don't worry.

EDIT - Apple.com still shows prepairing to ship and I have not recieved a shipping email from Apple so it seems their site is a little behind too.

Mine was shipped 4:45am PST and i got the UPS tracking number it ships from china.. but the downside is that it says "end of day" :(

Probably on 5X Flight 59 from HKG to ANC due to arrive at 2:59 PM.

Oh cool, what number did you call for UPS International to get your more up to date info on your package?
 
Oct 7, reserved at 4:09AM EST, finalized purchase at 6:57AM EST from apple.com and no tracking number to be found. Credit card has temporary charge.

According to my order status on Apple.com, it is still preparing for shipment and I have yet to receive a shipping notification from Apple. But UPS has a tracking number for my order and it has already left Hong Kong. I am sure Apple's notification system is more than a little busy.
 
I can find my 32GB Black AT&T by Reference from UPS, but I can't find the 16GB White AT&T. Both are preparing for shipment.

Oh well :). The black one is mine, the white is the wife's. I'm sure we will both get it on the 14th.

There's probably no point in calling because any information they give you will likely be inaccurate.

Even if your shipment shows an early delivery date now, it will most likely be changed to the 14th some time this week.
 
I ordered from Apple and this my latest update. Says delivery is scheduled for end of the day Oct 14th.

Just as an FYI, Sprint store orders can be found by reference on UPS using your account numbers. According to people that have successfully tracked them that way.

Unfortunately I was on a cruise ship the day the pre-orders went up. And for whatever reason, Apple's site was completely timing out. So I didn't order until 10am EST, when I finally said "screw it" and went through Sprint's store instead. So I didn't get my confirmation email until 10:30. So mine may take a bit longer to ship out.
 
Not showing up on UPS...

I ordered my iPhone 4S from Apple at 5:00AM PST and now tells me preparing for shipment but nothing comes up on the UPS or FedEx site!
 
"Reserved" my 64gb White 4S at 5AM EST on Friday...actual order went through and was completed around 7:30AM EST.

Preparing for shipment on Apple.com, but i checked by Alt Ref on UPS.com and see that it has shipped. Latest update:

There's also a flight, 5X 69 that departed two hours earlier. Both planes are set to go straight to Louisville after stopping in Anchorage. My guess is, considering the large number of phones ordered, that they are split between both flights. The usual schedule for this route is one plane every three days.
 
I wish my order would come at Wednesday by 10:30 am as well. I'm leaving for Italy at noon that day for a week. I called UPS and mine is on track for delivery on Friday. Order from Apple at about 9 am on Friday.

How should I be putting it into the reference number field?
 
Anyone else with FedEx "Postal Mix"?

Apple.com shows mine as preparing for shipment with FedEx postal mix for delivery on the 14th, anyone else get this service? I've never heard of it...
 
I checked my info on apple's order page to see how my phone number is formatted, and I saw that my billing zip code was incorrect. Great: I'll probably get my order cancelled and have to wait a month.
