"My pre-order is done" Thread

Finally managed to order my fiancée's iPhone 4 for her at about 13:30 after loads of attempts from when orders opened. 16GB black, UK. No other accessories. She's excited!

And I thought O2's systems were bad with the 3G launch / upgrades! Who knows what the 24th is gonna be like when upgrades can be processed?

after leaving my cart for literally 4 hours, i came back to find my iPhone still sitting there so I got my order through finally.

iPhone 4 32GB.

no conformation email yet, but it shows up in my order history on apple.com so im sure its real :p
 
THAT was not easy for me (I have the FAN discount).

Done though. Couldnt find the option (on att.com) to have mine shipped to local ATT store, so Im having to go home from work and wait for home delivery.........


Im NOT changing ANYTHING with my order Now !!!!!


Wonder how many people will end up with a white 3Gs thinking its a white 4?
 
I ordered through att it shows up on the order status page but i never got an email from them. great system like their network.
 
Anybody have any luck on apple in the last hour? I've been trying but keep getting "your session has expired" or "your request could not be processed" :mad:

same here! no luck! the at&t store is down too, but even when it is up, I don't see the iPhone 4 as an option (maybe because of my FAN thing)
 
Done... With trouble

No love from apple.com given the FAN account but managed on AT&T. Had to do 2 separate orders for Wifey and me. Now just need to rustle up the dough for the new Mini.
 
I might have missed it during this thread but what time did the pre-orders actually start? I went on Apple.com at 12:00 am this morning and I didn't see anything.

what do you people expect? if everything has to go through ATT that is even more load on their servers. Any site with this much load that quickly would go down, its just what happens.
 
Just finished my order 5 minutes ago from Apple.com with home delivery on the 24th.

Me too, this is as far as I have got, two hours and counting.

Anyone successfully ordered a new family plan line while transferring your existing number from a different carrier? I fear this is asking too much atm.
 
Been trying since 8am eastern and still no luck ordering...

I got my pre-order done (32GB), and now I'm working on my Mom's. I can't even get to the phone number/ZIP/Social stage anymore. GOOD LORD. THIS IS A TOTALLY RIDICULOUS.
 
I'm not sure why anyone is concerned about confirmation emails. My guess is that those will come much later given the system issues they seem to be having. Just login to your Apple account and check order status. If you see it there you're 100%. Does anyone honestly think it's only "real" if they see an email?
 
Had trouble with Apple so I went to AT&T site and was able to get it done in about 10 minutes. This was at about 6am CST. Confirmation received :) Just hope I get the phone on the 24th.
 
Some bad news my cousin manages an AT&T store and infomed me that all orders placed on line with AT&T will most likely be delivered the 25th or later. The phone ships on the 24th. Only apples website states delivery by the 24th.
 
Success! After numerous attempts starting at 3:00 am central time I have a 32GB iPhone 4. Tried apple with no joy and then went to att. Almost through the whole process with att and I timed out. Then checked forum and someone mentioned checking my shopping cart on apple. Low and behold it was there and went straight to check out!!!!!
