1- I'll check if I have the same issue !
2- I'm aware of this, I've spend 1 hour trying to fix this then I gave up ... There are some bugs in Apple's API that have to be fixed with workarounds... I'll check again later
3- Didn't met this yet, could you try the same file using a different protocol ?

@tgwaste I'll have a look at your issues ! About the new UI, what you mean ? You'd like to be able to have choice between both UI (old and new) ?

Yes, I would like a choice between the two and I would like the old one not to fall off the edge of my screen :)

Are there plans to get the app to show album art from the metadata on music and show playlists?

Thx

I've sent 1.2beta build 13, it removes my Dolby 5.1 test code which was blocking some users ! It's including a minor fix : when a movie playback is finished, the focus is restored on the file we were playing instead of being random ! It's also working when going back in previous folder ;)
It's also fixing the missing app name in main screen !

You know, I love this project I really do but I'm not a fan of the direction it's going. I hate the new UI, I hate the new REW/FF. I hate that the show name isn't in the play bar anymore instead and i have to do a finger dance and pull down, swipe over, etc and I hate the auto next show. That may be appropriate for music tracks but I don't think it is for video.

I'm sure I'm probably the only one but just my .02.

@tgwaste : I'll add an option to allow to choose between grid and line view, just give me some time please ... The name in the play bar will be back, I removed it to remember to fix issues when text is too long ... For the rew/ff, everyone was complaining about previous way, you are the first one to complain about the new one (which is BTW copying the way it's done by Apple !)

Yep Apples way stinks. Your old way was butter smooth :)

Just tried the new beta...very happy that I can FF and REW with the old apple remote! :)

Would like to see the app remember where I was in playback when I quit playing so it doesn't start playback from the beginning again the next time.

General comment: When you implement it in a future update, make sure when using your "list view" text is not cut off on the left side of the screen

Comments on latest build:
- pausing now does not stop the progress bar at 2 seconds any more, but it stops it wherever you previously paused. For example; I pause a video at the 30 second point, then start watching it again for a while. When I hit pause again, the progress bar says 30 seconds. But when you hit play, it'll jump to 57 seconds and then start playing. It needs to stop at 57 seconds.
- taking out your Dolby code now allowed me to set my ATV surround sound audio setting back to "auto" from "stereo" and videos still play and pause and resume without issue.
- swiping down while playing a video brings up (or literally down) the settings menu - usually defaulted to something a couple lines down on the left side settings menu, but it is very hard to be able to swipe up only enough to the header line so you can then swipe to the right side settings menu. I end up closing the entire menu and have to swipe down to open it again and try again to precisely swipe up "just enough" to not close the menu, but go to the top row to be able to swipe right. Somehow the menu needs to be made less "touchy".

He refuses to address this!! ;-)

He doesn't understand that this happens on some TVs.

Hi, thanks for the feedback :)
- I've not checked that pausing time issue, it's a minor issue and will be solved later
- About the Dolby code, this is the reason why I removed it ;) It should come back soon without bugs !
- I see what you mean, but did you know that just tapping on the upper side of the touch zone of the remote allow to move up the focus ? Please use this until I improve things when swiping !

I'll have a look at how to resize the list view, maybe it'll take less than 5 minutes :p

Edit : self.tableView.layoutMargins = UIEdgeInsetsMake(0, 50, 0, 50);

Ya if it's just in a table or collection view it's really easy.

I've just received some Dolby 5.1 hardware to make my Dolby related tests :)

build 14 "tgwaste edition"
- Added left/right margin for people wth cheap TV or CRT TV (like tgwaste :p)

HAHAHA. Well it wasn't cheap when I bought it but it sure it a piece of junk now!

Now if only TestFlight would actually let me update :(

What's the problem exactly ?

Says unable to download app: nastify player could not be downloaded at this time.

It's happened a few times for a few different versions and not just with you app. I think it's something on apples end.

No idea if it's fixable though. Try a build 15 maybe? I don't know.

For what it's worth I got the same error last night trying to install it. Figured it was TestFlight having issues.

Same here...last night and still today.

Tried deleting old version and reinstall. No dice. All I can load is production version.
