You have to install through TestFlight....going through the App Store will only install production apps.
Tried to install thru TestFlight, but it keeps failing, as per comments above.

As I deleted the prior version of NAStify on TestFlight to see if I could then load current BETA, now the only way to get NAStify back on ATV is via App Store.

Thanks though for trying to help.

At least you guys are getting the invitation code from Apple! How long typically does it take? I've been waiting over a day now...

A day is way too long. On one app I was testing it was loaded in TestFlight before I received email invite.

I received an invite this AM (another app) so the TestFlight invite emails appear to be working.

Sylver will have to check on why we can't load new BETA, and also why you haven't received invite yet.

Yep...I can't install the new build either.....tried a restart of the ATV and that didn't help either. I'm now back to the "old, useless" production version until this gets sorted out. Note - I was able to install the new InFuse beta release with no problem.

@JBRDiver I sent you a code to enter it directly in test flight, but you have a problem with your emails ... emails are sent instantly by Apple !
I've just sent another beta, is it installing well this time ?

Yay.

AC3 is back. Can do either list or grid. Will check on SMB and "Cheapo" TV left margin later. Great on my "modern tv", but I did notice on an "Archaic" TV that I was also losing left margin.

Edit: "Chaining" is working great.

Build 16 is downloading and working great. Having list mode back is great.

Is the margin supposed to be a setting? I cant find it anywhere and the left edge cutting off is still happening

Wow, I removed 100 pixels (50 left, 50 right) but it seems it's not enough ... Are you sure that there is no overscan setting in your TV ? Is it one of these "HD ready" TVs or a real HD tv ? 1080p or 720p ?

I don't know how many you had cut off before you took off the extra 50 pixels. But Apple recommends at least 90 pixels per side to account for overscan and such like.

Tgwaste: My old TV is displaying better than it was, but still close to edge (with no adjustments). Did yours improve somewhat?

The settings page for me still displays truncated at left, all other screens are improved.

I like both the list and grid for different reasons. In the settings, could you have the currently selected underlined and/or dark in color.

Also, any plans for artwork soon?

I'll rework the settings to make sure that people will know for sure which choice is selected for each options ;)

So Apples DOES recommend the keep a clear border around the app and not to use the full 1920x1080 real estate. Overscan is something of the past, but unfortunately still exist. My Philips TV from 2013 also still has overscan issues. IMHO Apple should make a setting somewhere. Nvidia in the Shield ATV did the same in the 2.0 firmware.

I've seen more apps not sticking the rules then...

You can argue it's a TV scaling setting, but I'm not going to change scaling settings for each source outputting video to my TV.

All sorted now - thank you! Build 16 now running on my Apple TV and I'm certainly impressed by the improvements so far. Thanks for your patience and assistance :)

Regarding the overscan issues that others are experiencing, I'm pleased to report that everything is displaying perfectly on my 55" 4k Sony panel. The only display issue I've noticed so far is a slight graphic glitch with the folder icons - the top right hand part of the folder that is supposed to be 100% transparent isn't - the shiny lighting effect that occurs when you 'wobble' the icon still reflects on the bit that is supposed to be transparent. Same with the file type icons too - although they have curved corners that iOS icons, you can still see the 'square' area highlighted by the lighting effect when the icon is moved. A minor point but an issue nonetheless.

Btw - when I play a video, why does it display some weird collection of the numbers and characters as the filename when the video timeline first appears rather than the actual filename? ie. if I play '300 Rise of an Empire.mkv' and instead it displays the filename as '0O$3$2813378186.mkv' when I pause playback? The same thing happens with all video files on my DLNA NAS regardless of whether they're in MP4, MPG or MKV formats.

Build #18 is having the 'Cant install' problem again.

Edit: NM it updated and it looks great! (Build 17 i guess)

I've tested it and I had the same issue, I switched back to build 17 which is almost the same (the only difference is a correction in text size for "line" file browser) but at least it's installing correctly. I've built both versions the same way, the only difference is a size value and one is installing and the other is not ... TestFlight really has some weird issues sometimes :(

All this needs now is file deletion and favorites folders and it'll be perfect.

For the file deletion, make sure to a add it as a password protected option so I can keep my kids from deleting files. Also, would it be possible to start the browse from subdirectories? I.e. 192.168.1.1/DroboS/Videos

I'm not sure it's up to the App to manage this use-case. There's probably another option using the Drobo.

That's what favorite folders would do.

I'll try out the favorites folder. As far as your remark Drobo, it is set up as an external drive, not a server. My router (ASUS) is running the SMB protocol so if the software enables deletion on SMB, I'd like to be able to disable it to keep the kids from deleting files they should not.

Would love an option to disable the auto next video feature.

Also there is another issue that's been happening for a while now where I am not able to delete a file (using my normal method of deletion) after I've played it as it says that file is still being used. I have to kill Nastify first then delete the file.

Whatever you're doing to keep hold of the file in the background can you not do it? :)
