It's funny how streaming companies are losing customers, so now they're putting the squeeze on remaining customers hoping to stop the bleed.
I really, really hope people cancel Netflix and don't put up with this ****. I did last year when they pulled Star Trek. The password sharing crackdown just vindicated my decision. Then they raised prices, twice. Now HBO Max is raising prices again and charging for 4K.
There are a lot of people who don't watch much but keep subscriptions active because their friends/family are still using them. Those people are likely to cancel now when Netflix tries to charge them more.
At some point people ask themselves "is this really worth it?" and unsubscribe. I can see people subscribing to watch certain shows, then cancelling afterwards.
At one point streaming looked like it was going to be the answer to insanely expensive cable TV subscriptions. Now it's turning out to cost more if you want to be able to watch everything, and it's making old school cable subscriptions look affordable again.
