Marvel TV Series, what is their future? Apparently not on Netflix. Overall, it was a good run while it lasted.

Hoping for ‘Daredevil’ and ‘Jessica Jones’ Revivals? It’s Going to Take Longer Than Just 2 Years
https://www.indiewire.com/2019/04/disney-new-daredevil-jessica-jones-series-delay-1202127577/

Netflix broke the hearts of comic book fans when it pulled the plug on all of its Marvel superhero shows, including “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones,” “The Punisher,” “Luke Cage,” and “Iron Fist.” News broke last December (via Variety) that due to contractual reasons Disney would not be able to revive these series until two years after their cancellation, but IndieWire learned at the “Avengers: Endgame” premiere it’s going to be much longer than two years until fans see Daredevil again either on film or in a series on new streaming platform Disney+.

According to a production executive, Disney has been warned by lawyers not to even think about developing new content featuring the characters of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Punisher until the two-year mark. The clarification is an important once, as it means Disney probably won’t be spending time during the next two years working on new material with these characters to launch new series in 2020. If Disney can’t even begin developing a new Daredevil series until 2020, then it’s going to take much longer than just two years for the character to return to the big or small screen. Another option is Disney does not revive the superheroes at all.

I believe I posted that exact link here or elsewhere on the site. I don't think either properties are essential for Disney+ to survive, even if the risque stuff is going to Hulu. Disney+'s $7.99 deal is nice but who's to say the price won't go up? Additionally, the combo package they reported on a week or two ago isn't all that great either.

V Wars (2019)- The second show I am aware of (first one The Strain) that treats vampirism as a virus or a bug, this one is discovered in the Artic. Watching episode 1.

Just cancelled our Netflix subscription.

A few good series on Amazon Prime: Bosch, Jack Ryan, The Expanse, Keeping Faith.

No, I really liked it. It is a lovely romance story mingled with ghosts and loss. I particularly liked the episode 5.
I said that because of my posts in the TV thread about Bly Manor. :) I liked the first half and was disappointed with the second half because of the story telling as I said, dream, flashback, present, jumping all over the place. I get that these characters were living in a dream state, but as a viewer I'd prefer to have a better handle on the sequence of events.

For example was the Nanny seeing the dead people like Mrs Grose, like regular people? I'm not sure. When did she die? Was she pushed or jumped into that well? One of the many aspects I won't wonder about because I've moved on. :)

I never thought i'd say this, but i don't have time to watch that much TV now-days. I always tend to think Original series are second best when compared to those of Hollywood stuff, but perhaps that's just me.

I rememberd watching "Orange is the new black", back in the day..... Instant turn off.

The Kominsky Method (2019-21)

Finishing up the final season, have enjoyed this. Michael Douglass plays an actor/acting coach. These are short shows, short seasons. Fun cast Paul Reiser, Jane Seymore, Alan Arkin left season 3 cause he was winding down.

In a Guardian interview, Arkin said his Kominsky Method exit comes as he slows down his career at the age of 87. He said: "I'm like a horse going down the trail. Acting is so ingrained in my physiognomy and the channels of my brain that I find myself missing aspects of the business. But I don't need it any more. I should probably get over it."

He added in an interview with health food writer Andrea Donsky: "The less work I get, the better my health. The stress in the marketplace is enormous and my system has a fast reaction. I can't deal with stress anymore.

Holy crap Love, Death, and Robots, an animated anthology of short adult features (less than 20 Min), is cutting edge animation. Watch Season 1, Episode 1, Sonnie’s Edge (gore and nudity) for a taste to decide if this is for you. It is amazing how photo realistic animation has become, seemingly, all that is left to conquer, is the human face. :)

if I have a complaint it’s that these are just too short. i want longer stories.
