That's what happened to me with the first beta, now with beta 2 it hangs at the end for a second, and then goes through.

I want my friend to try and send me a video msg, will let you know if it works.

Yeh i have the 5 for 200 plan (or something like that, the lowest one) and it doesnt work.

I had someone with 3.0 and a 3G try to send me a MMS
I got this: Also, you can see the bubble to insert an image isn't there.

To prove I have it turned on:

did you upgrade your .ipcc file for tethering? people were saying that made the camera thing in the messages app go away
Yes I did.

Don't know if anyone has noticed or posted anything about this, but you can control what Spotlight displays in it's search results. I don't know if this has been there since 3.0b1 or of it's a 3.0b2 feature.

Go into Settings > General > Home....then scroll down to the bottom and there's a "Search Results" option....if you tap through it you get a list of things you can check on or off..

Contacts
Applications
Music
Podcasts
Video
Audiobooks
Notes
Mail
Calendar

You can also drag things to re-order them, which prioritizes your search results. The order I posted the list in is the default. For example, if you were to drag music to the top, and type in "John" you would get John Mayer songs in your iPod before you'd get your buddy John Smith's contact.

Pretty cool that you can decide what you do or don't want so show up when you search through Spotlight

How do you have the numeric battery?

How do you have the numeric battery?

Was jailbroken and forgot to disable the numeric batt before upgrading. I had the same problem. No use since it shows both at all times. Luckily a "Reset all settings" will remove that. Glad I didn't have to downgrade again remove / upgrade again.

For whatever reason though if you're jailbroken that setting remains when you upgrade to a non jailbroken version. If you change your carrier logo that remains as well.

That has actually been there since beta 1

That's very interesting.

So as far as stability with this new beta? Is it better? I was getting frustrated with the first beta and after getting my phone replaced with a new one at the apple store yesterday, I am back on 2.2.1, which has been nice.

I am a valid dev tester, but I have no need to test apps at this point, but did love the search feature for music. Any thoughts on overall stability? is it stable enough to use as your actual phone?

I am happy with it, much quicker, not as much lag. MMS is working, for me at least.

Yea, I have a 16gb, and from the looks of the folks on here that isn't working for some reason.

I am sure it's not as stable as 2.2.1, but hopefully its usable without frustration. The biggest thing from the first beta was the maps app, it was horrible. How does it work on the new beta? functional at least, does it keep good current location?

Thanks for the quick response...

That's pissing me off iKatz(MMS working).

Sorry didn't mean to rub it in...

It looks like you edited your file to get tethering to work, that seems to be the problem from what i've read of other people's situations.

just noticed when you are going into texting that the keyboard layout is now like the safari one. it has the @ and . and space bar now. not just the space bar anymore

Time will tell, but at the moment it seems like I can actually use this as my day-to-day phone.
