Was expecting a new iPod Touch to come with AirPods 2, but whatever.

Has Apple ever done product refreshes / updates like this—no event, this many products, trickled out over a week? Off the top of my head, I can't think of any.

I don't remember a week full of announcement like this but I think they made the right decision. Imagine having AirPods, iPads and Macs announced next Monday, most of the people would have paid attention to the products more than to their new service. This way they can get press coverage for the entire week and Monday the news will only be about their event.

Supposedly something big is going to be announced at the event.

Nope. I’m guessing Air Power is the main product this week. Would be cool to see new iMac, 12” MacBook lower priced, and iPhone SE 2. Dreaming I know.

This drawn out soft launching of new products is very interesting. They really want Monday to be about the news and streaming services. In previous years they could have spent over an hour talking about the hardware. That said, these are mostly spec bumps. I wonder if we will see an Amber Lake MacBook after all. I wasn’t expecting it after the Air launched with a gimped Amber Lake Y chip that the i7 version would outperform, but now would not be surprised to see it.
