Could that be a new iPod behind the AirPods in the picture? Looks like an iPhone XS but it has no network status at the top...
What they are becoming? They've always been generally more expensive than everyone else.

$99 CAD for the wireless charging case! Are you serious! Can't wait to see what Air Power will cost now that a charging case is that expensive.
that was just a promotion. you have to buy them now. I still prefer Airpods for when I'm at work as I can pull them in and out of the ear easier.
Some of us can't stand jammed-in-ear-canal earphones but still appreciate the convenience of wireless
No, I even did custom engraving. I ordered 2 $199 AirPods, both with engraving. Thought the date would be pushed back for me but nope. Still for 27-29th.
1.5 I'd say......... No color options, no health monitoring, no texture change, no bluetooth 5.0....... what we've heard from the rumors didn't make it to this version...
So 2 more days = 2 more products..

I feel like they are teasing us is going to do something big that fundamental changes the apple ecosystem going forward.

Same for me, only need to charge twice a week and Lighting is ok for that.
They ought to release AirPower this week, I think it will be their cherry on the cake on Friday. With AirPower you could in theory charge your iPhone, Watch and AirPods without having a single Lighting cable, it would be great for travel.
For me, spending €50 more for buying them with the Qi case or spending €89 for the case alone is too much. I'll stick with my pair for at least another year, but with those prices I'd likely buy the version with the Lighting only case in the future

Only apple would make a huge event over a wireless charging mat.
Yes but pricing is getting worse. There was no reason to charge extra for the wireless case. It should be standard like the galaxy Buds are

The AirPods update is alright, was hoping for a bit more though (improved sound quality!). If the Qi case was included at the original price, I would probably have updated my original pair, but I'll keep using them until the battery is totally dead now.

I was waiting on these, but I am lost on the actual improvements. Better sound? Better noise cancellation? Anything along those lines?
