My order is still processing since this morning.

"This item will take longer than usual to ship. As soon as it’s ready, we’ll send you an update and prepare the shipment."

How long does it usually take? It still says delivery March 27-29... which is fine.

I haven't ordered anything directly from Apple in many years. I'm guessing they got slammed this morning! :)

I still don't understand why people pay so much for what is exactly the same sound-wise as the standard included earphones. I got the BeatsX and they are cheaper and have way better sound, combined with the W1 Chip!
Maybe, just maybe, people prefer another design. Some people probably don’t want the thing in the back of their neck. C’mon man. 2 different designs. People have different taste. Why does it bother you since you’re saying you “still don’t understand”?

Shouldn't Apple's profits be distributed amongst all of us for free?
No.

Shouldn’t I be able to come to your house anytime I want and take anything that’s valuable? And come back next week and do it again?

No? Why not?

Apple distributes excess money to its owners (shareholders) because it’s their money.

You clearly didn't get his sarcasm.

I ordered mine this morning and it says "Preparing to Ship"

You can have them in any color as long as it’s white.

What an oddly boring refresh. A new chip and wireless charging. No new audio specs. No design changes.

Even Sony knows you gotta change more than that to get upgraders excited.

Not necessary when you have a ton of 1st gen owners with degraded batteries due to all of us using them excessively day and night.

That makes it better?
The product costs $160. The product consists of two primary components: the earbuds themselves and the case which houses and charges them. Charging $80 for the central housing, Bluetooth, and charging center doesn’t seem unreasonable in the slightest unless you think airpods are overpriced to begin with. So yes, I think charging the same price for the standalone wireless charging case is quite good.

Air pods aren’t overpriced at 159 no but the wireless case as well at 200 when it should be standard in the 159 price? Yes that’s where my issue is.

They support Bluetooth 5, which explains the connectivity improvements. Not sure why Apple didn’t highlight this.
That's a typical Apple marketing. Liquid Retina display anyone? Instead of saying that new model supports BT 5 they will say that new model comes with a new proprietary chip (H1) which basically implements BT 5 just like the chips in all other Earbuds. This way it sounds "magical" and justifies premium price.

How many phone manufacturers include wireless chargers in the box for you? Apple already upgraded the internals without raising the price, and are only charging $40 (half the price of a normal case replacement) to upgrade to wireless charging. You think all improvements should just be handed to you free of charge?

Yes it should seeing as the galaxy buds come with the wireless case while being £70 cheaper but i guess this should be no surprise seeing as the 256GB max cost £150 more than the 512GB S10’s plus. Apple likes to laugh at their customers with their pricing.

I placed my order. I really wanted a sport model but I found a 24-pack of foam covers that just go around the edge of the AirPods leaving the sensors open. So that should do the job of keeping them in my ears, something that the AirPods won't do without adding something. My wife has the first generation and won't be updating as her AirPods aren't even a year old and she doesn't care about wireless charging.

I have a Qi mat that has two spots for charging devices, I'll now get to actually use the 2nd spot. I think I'll like the always-on Hey Siri fuction, that was an issue I had with the first generation. The H1 should increase connection strength to my iPhone and iPad Pro so I'll look forward to that as well (though I don't have issues with W1 headphones). These aren't quite the update I wanted but I'll take it. I waited too long though and now they won't deliver until April 2nd-5th. I'll see if the Apple store closes to me has them in-stock on release day and do store pickup since I won't be able to take off of work just to stay home for a package. I hate that Apple still uses FedEx for shipping and requires a signature. I'm sorry that I'm not home at 10:42 AM on a Wednesday.

I assume they still fit in the case with these covers? Can you share where you found them?

No you get "Hey Siri" as in:

You...
"Hey Siri" Navigate to the nearest Starbucks...

Siri...
Ok, here's what I found on the web for the capital of Uruguay, take a look!

Nice!

You summed up Siri perfectly! Siri is undoubtedly the worse thing Apple has ever done in 12 years and it feels like they aren’t doing anything to fix it. It continues to be the laughing stock of the world.

No design change. I was HOPING perhaps a slight design in the bud to fit ears better (I know they fit many fine, some of us have problems) . I am VERY shocked new colors haven't been released though. (Black, Fog, even a (Product) Red).

Maybe the only good thing about the lack of new design change, those silicone covers on Amazon, other sites will fit these also. For us that have that problem with the pods coming loose...or we're constantly fiddling around with them, these covers have been a Godsend!

**NO I do not work with them. I picked these up a few weeks ago and the Pods finally just stay in my goofy ears! :)

One of the best things about Apple devices, the usual endless aftermarket accessories market that exists, and makes things like this.
And if the design hasn’t changed then it’s all inter changeable too.

I don't get when people complain about siri. Works fine for me. Just used her in carplay on my drive to work to build a radio station. No issues. Setup homebridge to make my non homekit items work with homekit and siri controls that fine. Ask for directions and she does it.
Works for texts. Occasionally siri doesn't get it 100% right but neither does google.

Just tried it out of curiosity and I got: 'Getting directions to Starbucks'
And I'm not a native speaker..

I know it's all funny and an easy laugh, but it's also misleading because it's simply not true.

Back in the day it was considered normal to upgrade your products every year without raising the price. Nowadays it seems every upgrade somehow has to cost more, what happened to providing a good product that people will buy?
