Exactly. Looks like I'm returning my apple dock and getting the hi rise.

That is what I am going to do as well. I ordered a 5s Apple Dock when I ordered my 5s, but I decided to order a Hi-Rise from Amazon which should be here on Wednesday (the same day my iPhone 5s is scheduled to arrive). I am glad I ordered it from Amazon when I did because now they say it "Usually ships within 2 to 4 weeks." So they must be seriously backordered.

I think the lock button is super easy and squishy feeling. Feels great. Maybe a bad one in the bunch. Everyday I feel this is the best case I have ever owned.

Yes its a good case and I have no problems with the lock button either. I do question the durability though. Its gonna stain easily

Just picked up the Beige case for my white iphone5 at my local apple store. I have to say that this is a very high quality case, beautiful quality leather, perfect fit and finish. The actual speaker wholes and cut outs are perfectly aligned. Yes this case is totally worth the $39.00 I just paid. I've gone naked since release day of the five waiting for the perfect case. I found it!!
Now come on leather Ipad case....

I think it would good to know for anyone thinking about this case with regards to longevity. Yes its genuine leather, the real deal.

NOTE: Its Aniline leather

Per Wiki

Aniline leather is a type of leather dyed exclusively with soluble dyes without covering the surface with a topcoat paint or insoluble pigments. The resulting product retains the hide's natural surface with the 'grain', i.e. visible pores, scars etc. of the complete original animal's skin structure.

Originally, the dyes used for this process were synthesized from aniline through chemical reactions.[citation needed] These dyes used to be called 'aniline dyes' or 'tar dyes'.[citation needed] In modern times, the dyes used are subject to laws and regulations in many countries, and the use of certain azo compounds is prohibited as there are reasons to assume health risks.[citation needed]

Typically, leather is dyed both for aesthetic reasons and to conceal blemishes. The dye colours leather without producing the uniform surface of pigmented leather. Any visible variations on the surface of the undyed leather such as natural blemishes will remain visible. [1]

There are different kinds of aniline leather, but the same kinds of dyes are used in the process. The dyes used are clear and transparent chemicals that allow the grain structure of the leather to be seen. These dyes show the natural texture, but do not protect the leather from damage.

Aniline leather may be referred to as full aniline or full sauvage leather to differentiate between this dye treatment and variants. Semi-aniline leather is produced through a very similar process to full-aniline, but has a thin protective top coat added to protect it from wear and staining. Pull up aniline leather has additional oil or wax applied to the leather to give it a distressed look.[2][3]

In 1911, Horween Leather Company developed and produced Aniline Chromexcel, which is still one of the company's most traditional tannages

Will there be a problem having a skin on the rear side of the phone? It sounds like this case is real tight and I'm wondering if it would fit with a skin on the back. Thanks.

Full 100% Ghost Armor, yes front back and all sides. Not a single issue.

I bought the black leather case today, and I love this thing. I HATE cases in general - I find most of them to be very ugly and bulky, but I bought this one to see if it would be a good option for our employees, and it is indeed. Very slim, the leather feels great, and not as much heft as my only other case, a Rocketfish soft shell. I'd highly recommend this case.

I love my hi rise, its a great dock and i think its kind of future proof in the sense that its adjustable for devices. It is listed that the iPad 4 isnt compatible and I Have used it with my dock with ease.
This is truly a great dock.

Thanks for that, wondered about iPad 4 even if it is just for syncing. Ordered one with the Black 5s case.
Gee we pay down here in Australia.
Apple Leather case 5S = $48. Hi Rise stand= $43-$48 delivered.

I will preface this post with this statement: I am not a fan of cases at all.

I went to the Apple Store today to pick up the OEM dock and saw the cases hanging there. They looked awesome. One of the employees came over to ask if I needed anything and I asked if they had a demo case. She found one for me, a beige one and I tried it on.

I was blown away at how well it fit and how thin it was. Its super high quality and feels good in the hand. I walked out with a red one, although I was slightly bummed I couldn't get a dock with it.

I need to exchange the tan one I got for my iPhone 5. The edges where it sits in my hand has become dis-colored and one of the bottom corners the top layer of the leather pealed off.
