I was so looking forward to getting this case for my iPhone 5....but I am really skeptical about getting a sub-standard product which wears off in a few days.

I will stick to switching between my Vaja case and my Spigen bumper.

why would you get one of these if you have a vaja?

I understand that it's snug, but I'm talking about how you can easily see the phone's edge band. I know this case is designed like so and I'm asking if anybody notices lint buildup or anything else to fill that gap. View attachment 436925

No, perdantic or what:rolleyes:

To remove, I use the same method as the Speck case that was so hard to remove.

Hold the phone upright.
Put fingers on the two top corners
Put both thumbs on the apple logo
Push in with your thumbs

Comes right off

Had the black but sold to a member here. Got the red today and I love this case. First time I ever used a case that wasn't black.

Finally someone who knows what they are doing. 100% right. You should let Apple know to put this on their packaging. Should stop the wingers.

The power and volume buttons on this case have the nicest feel of any case i have had.

I think most would agree a screen surrounded by lint or anything else is pretty ugly.

Do you have a mouth and breath. BLOW. It doesn't happen anyway for the oh no it may get lint on it odd people:rolleyes:

would be nice to see a compare between the apple leather case and powersupport's air jacket.

Trying to find an auxiliary cable for this case because the ones I have do not fit. Any recommendations?

I got my red case today. I like the case. however I think my lock button is messed up. The vol buttons work very well and feel perfect. However the lock button seems VERY hard to press. Its almost like im just pushing the entire case to get it to work.

Is this normal? Should I get a replacement? And do I need to make an appointment to exchange a case?

Thanks

Ok. So this was a quick fix. I removed the case. I got a screw drive and over pressed the button all over. It seems like it wasn't fully cut. After doing both sides and using my hand a few times I tried the case again. Now it works great.

I know that technique well. I was a bit nervous about trying it on a case that is so much more slight than the Speck cases I've used.

I'll give it a try when the phone arrives (already have the case).

Thanks!

Why is everyone getting upset that the LEATHER case is changing it's appearance as you use it?

That's what good leather SHOULD do. Anyone who knows good leather HATES new leather. It doesn't look good until it's broken in and worn, used, played with, treated, etc. There are whole forums devoted to posting progress pics of breaking in leather with wear and use.

Apple even states on the box something like, "this case is made from genuine leather, it will change appearance as you use it."

Apple finally gives us something to play with and let it show how much we love it and people complain about it not looking spiffy new, when for once, it actually looks better when it's not. Typical.

Here's a pic of new leather that hasn't been broken vs leather with wear that's been broken and and used. Night and day.

Does anyone have the white/silver phone with the beige case? I would love to see a pic.

This is probably a bit neurotic, but with respect to the new cases, is it normal to have about a half mm space on the left side between the phone and case, or should it literally be skin tight without ANY give?

This is the best OCD post so far. How do you measure half a mm:)
