New Apple Leather Case

You only have 14 days to return or exchange apple products, it also says that on the website but you can try.

Just tell them you recently just bought the case and it's getting dirtier everyday and all you want is to exchange it to a different color and they will be more than happy to do it . At least at my local Apple is what I did and worked . 6 weeks since I bought it and I had no issues . Apple customer service is the best ...

I bought mine 6 weeks today exactly , will i need my box when i go in today?
 
Its pretty clear that Apple used the wrong material to make this case --- pretty much everyone is returning [or has already returned] their colored cases to get Black ones.
 
I have had my beige case for 3 weeks now. I like how the color changes but don't like how my blue jeans color got on it. To be expected I guess. But be very careful how you remove the case!!!!!!! I broke mine. I tried to pop it out from the bottom where all the cut outs are. Big mistake. It snapped. 🙁 bringing it back to Apple. Will probably get the same color.
 
Does anyone notice a change when taking pictures and using the flash with this case? The camera/flash cutout looks a little too small
 
I returned mine since it snapped at the bottom after 3 weeks. I picked up a beautiful leather Coach one at their outlet for $19.

Weird that it broke down at the bottom. That's how I take my case off everyday since I got it last month and no problems with it.

Yeh and I'm so careful. I actually heard it snap. There is a thin round metal piece that is supposed to support it I guess. That is still together but the actual leather broke in 2.

No. I've actually tried several of the same shots with flash case on and off and there was no difference at all.
 
I went today to pick up an iPad Air and ended up swapping my red case with the black.

Loved the red case but couldn't live with the black streaks from normal wear.
 
Any way to exchange or get replacement for a broken one if you don't live near an apple store?

The drive to one alone for me would be almost more than the case

Well, technically, these are Apple cases, you should be able to call an Apple support number and mail it to them.

My Apple Store isn't super close, that is why I make sure to plan other things around that area when I go.
Hence me swapping mine when I went to get the Air.

I don't use cases but my partner does. I am not sure what you people are doing to your cases. This is a picture of his launch day case. looks Clean to me.

There are few if any cases like it available, certainly not leather, and certainly not for $39.

The discoloration issue for the lighter colors is the only down side. True, Apple could have chosen a more finished leather, which would have resisted discoloration better, but that would likely have put it at the over $50 mark, and it would likely not have sold nearly as well.

Please educate us as to what else makes the case so "low quality" in your esteemed anonymous internet opinion.

I'm currently sporting a Belkin Grip Candy Sheer, but only b/c it covers the edges of the chamfered edge of my 5. Was curious how important you guys think that is? B/c it is the only thing holding me back from getting a black Apple 5S case.
 
My coworker and I bought cases about a month ago. I got the black one which is still looking great and he got the beige one which is starting to darken and lose the felt look around the edges and buttons. I took pictures if anyone wants to see.
 
Sorry if this was addressed already - it's hard picking through this massive thread.

Does anyone know if the Belkin lightning cable fits with this case? Thanks!!
