New Apple Leather Case

Have a black one, absolutely LOVE it, thinking of getting another one since i dropped it and scratched up the corners pretty bad, although my best buy has all the colors and the red one catches my eye, its even the same price as the rest

These pictures alone make me want to go buy one. I didn't know it was a real leather. I love the way it wears down. It gets better over time.

I actually just watched a review of it online and it says right on the back of the packaging that the product is leather and will wear down. I don't know why people are complaining, besides I think it looks great.

I'd say it's a piece of plastic. Mine snapped right above the charging opening as I put the phone back in it today.

I'm going to see if I can return mine. When I first put it on the phone it fit tight as a glove (a good thing) and I was very pleased with it. Now, on one of the bottom corners the phone is no longer securely held in. When I look at it, the face of the phone is level with the case and the corner of the phone can slide in or out of the case. The phone has only been in a loose shirt pocket (the one where pens go) or my hand. Never pants or any place else that would deform it. :(

I love the look of the leather as it darkens and wears.

Edit: I returned it and got a Tech21.

I love how the brown and red one look on a black iPhone when it's new but the darken wear is ugly and scaring me off :( I'm one of those people who want a new and clean look all the time.
 
That red case looks gorgeous, even so in person, I've seen. I'm currently using a $2 black and grey silicone case on my silver iPhone 5S. Lol.
 
Aaand now it broke at the headphone port. Ugh. Lots of weeks of wear and breaking it in and now the phone corner at the headphone port won't stay in and keeps popping out. Anyone know if this is a warranty issue and can be swapped? Or did I just spend $40 for a 2 month case... Loved how the brown was breaking in. Would suck to start over.
 
any idea where i can buy this case?!? im living in a country where there are no apple stores btw! ;(

NEVERMIND found a reseller on ebay :) (google searches ebay better than ebay searches itself ;p)

Mine just broke as well. I have the brown and bought it a week after release. I bought it from Best Buy though and since its over the 30 day period I didn't even try.
I called the 800 Apple number and spoke with tech support. They said it was covered under warranty and that they are shipping me a new one today. I did have to give them a credit card to put a hold of $39 on my account until I ship the broken one back

Cool thanks for the info. Maybe I'll pop in an Apple Store next week and swap it out.
 
I have the black leather case on a space grey phone. I was riding my bike on the loop road in Central Park NYC two weeks ago and the phone fell out of my pocket clattering on the pavement. Someone dashed over, picked up the phone and handed it back to me (gotta love New Yorkers).

Expected the worst, but no damage at all. Not even a scratch. The phone was in a light weight zip lock snack bag because I thought it might rain. I am very impressed with the crash protection of this case.

Mine has broken at the h/p port as well. I have not been in to see if they will cover it or not but I'll prob go tmr.
 
A gorgeous case to be sure. I've seriously considered getting one more than once, but the prospect of a case that makes me feel like being even more careful with my phone is not appealing.
 
I bought beige for my gold and like the overall appearance, but I'll probably get rid of it because it's like I need a case for my case.

I don't like black for my gold because it's like Palliacci colors, seeing the white face and surrounding black.
