I've been waiting for this update for literally months - a delayed graduation gift due to Leopard. I don't mind the delays, but waiting is killing me!
Just a few more hours. And I honestly wouldn't be surprised if nothing happened, but I just want to know and have the wait be over. Money is burning a hole in my pocket for a new mac... And my nightmare of an experience with Vista is really not helping.
An interesting side note: If you ever for a moment think that Vista 64 bit could be a good thing, stop that thought and remove whatever part of your brain fostered it.

Actually I think it's a bit more then that. If it's down at 13:00 UK time like mentioned before then that would mean it's going down at 14:00 CET. That means we have to wait another 4 hours to see if the store goes down.

I don't know what the usual procedure for product updates is but isn't the US always first with the new products?
yea, i don't either but i am pretty sure that NZ got leopard at 6pm on the 26th. (about the time that the US were getting tucked into bed on the 25th.)

Oh beleive me, I'm with you brother. On Oct 26th I was refreshing like a madman but I was let down
. Today I have to go to school so I actually have something to do today, unlike on oct 26th. So basically there should be new updates when I get home... ** continues praying **Not convinced about that yet. I wouldn't be surprised if the top end Macbook gets a dedicated GPU as a BTO option.

That's what I think too, maybe some bigger HDDs.
Maybe some appearance changes too, to match the iPod and the iMacs

ive ordered a macbook a couple of days ago, recon i can send it back and get a refund/exchange it for the new one? ive also got the ipod offer, does this mean i wont be able to get the rebait if i return it?

There is a huge market for Mid-range notebooks. I deal with people on a daily basis who are after new machines. I would say 60% of them are after a laptop of some kind.
Of course i try to convince them that the Macbook is their best option, but 2 things that put them off are...... 1. Price and 2. Poor Graphics Card.
Now i can help if they want to be cheap, but you cant blame them if they want a machine that they can get cheaper or still at the same price with a good GPU. For example look at the Dell XPS M1330, it has an GM X3100 option and 8400gs for the same price as a high end Macbook!
I really hope Apple offer the same configuration on an the high end Macbook, otherwise they'll be out of the mid range laptop market for the next 4 years. (or when they next redesign the Macbook)
