New Apple MacBook on Tuesday? GMA X3100?

Sure, that makes sense now. I would say that you mean bezel though. Slimmer implies how slim they are. I would prefer the bezel to be drastically reduced.
Let it go for this week. Forget about it for the coming days, have a crazy weekend, and then it comes up again, that monday morning when you're stirring your coffee and browsing your email. Hey tomorrow it's tuesday
I don't mind waiting a few days though just enough time for that RAM and HDD to arrive...
I want the MacPro more than anything. If the MacBook is next week, I want the MacPro to be announced too shipping the following week. Who knows, maybe both will just be announced next Tuesday, shipping 11/13.
I'm thinking this is nothing more than a rumor for today. Anytime Apple has done a physical change in any of their lineup of laptops they've always had a media event of some kind, companies like Apple get all the media exposure they can and what more to promote their new OS version than the release of the new laptop (New, Thin, Light, etc), complimented (reminding people) of the new OS.
I think if they're going to change the body of the laptop it'd be an event, which will not happen today.

See, it could be California. Headquarters are there. Let's see what happens. And who knows, an announcement can come at any time. I really don't think there is a set time for these things. Could all just be random!
macbook release...
I was in the london store this last weekend to purchuse a copy of leopard, while paying for the copy, I asked the sales assistant about the release of the new macbooks being within the next two weeks as I would like to purchuse one, to which he replied, "they should be available within that time" so I said great... to which he replied... "thats unofficial of course I can't guarantee that but the should be here in about 2 weeks" which I think would indicate a November 6th release, as i asked on the 28th.. which gives it enough time after the release date to ship. So in stores weekend of the 10th 11th.
As for whats will be upgraded, I personally think it will only be a small upgrade to make the hardware fully 64bit along the lines with leopard being a 64bit OS.
I wouldnt hold my breath for alu cases and 128 graphics etc, people need to remember these are personal / working / multimedia playing / internet surfing laptops. not laptops to be used for gaming, multimedia processing/editing as the pro series are.
Backlit keyboard or LCD lit screen would be great, but to keep the product price as is with the added technology of RS and x3100 (as others imply) would be difficult pushing the price of a macbook to the same level as high performance (cough) windows based laptops.

That's what I am thinking too. No one at headquarters is gonna wanna wake up 3 hour early to announce something. It'll be done in that time zone. So, let's hope for the best. If nothing, ah well, back to dreaming. lol
Apple Store personnel never know about an unannounced upgrade that much in advance. The sales assistant was probably just reading MR.

Right, Apple is gonna make a killing this holiday season. Between the new MacBooks, iPods, the hopefully updated MacPros which have about 80-100 people here in the forums waiting for it. That's an easy $300,000 plus for Apple this year. lol

Tomorrow the Apple Store will definitely be "down for maintenance" for a while. Why? Because the "Back to School" action for a free iPod Nano 4GB will end than, and the ads for it will have to be removed from the Store.
Hopefully they will put something new AND INTERESTING in place for those ads.. ^_^

Yeah that's a definitely possibility. I knew it couldn't come out today just for that reason... that promotion isn't over today, it's still on all day today. Tomorrow it ends.
