Ya I personally don't really care for having apple arcade and I'm sure many others don't as well, especially older demographics.

Personally: I will take apple arcade over the godforsaken garbage that make up the majority of app stores 'in app purchases' games... Arcade is a pure joy.

But tastes vary etc, etc. I squarely fall in the old fart category by now I guess, and absolutely enjoy games.

The premier tier looks interesting, but News+ is not available in my country so I only have the 2 cheaper bundles.
If it was available, I'd go for the premier to have Fitness+ and 2TB of storage, I don't really care about News+ but my dad could enjoy it and of course I'd have Music which I'm already paying. Basically, I'd get Arcade, News+ and TV+ for the same price, so I'd buy it.

Been wishing for this dream to come true for a decade now. Not getting my hopes up. This is probably the ONLY long term complaint I’ve had with Apple, but it’s a big one in my book. Let us merge the stupid accounts Tim!

this. merging of accounts not being possible is simply un-apple.

Wait, there's still no news app in Europe ??
There is a News app, just not a News+ subscription option. News+ is based on partnerships with a largish number of publications. For any country Apple wants to add, it has to negotiate with an equally compelling list of publications in that country. That takes time and effort and the media landscape can vary a lot between countries, making the concept of News+ more or less compelling to publications. Generally, the smaller a country, the less return Apple gets for that effort and the fewer potential publications a country has, the less compelling a bundle will probably be to consumers. Lastly, Apple might still be testing out the concept of News+ in their home country before expanding it abroad.

I think the biggest and probably only problem with these bundles, a lot of us have different separate accounts, one for iTunes+Apple Music and different one with iCloud, i wonder if we will be able to combine both easily, i hope so!

we have been begging for this for years. zero movement from Apple's side. I have so much music, apps, movies, book tied into my main account (on my own domain), but for family sharing it would be better if everything was on iCloud. My partner is in the same situation. We would merge in a heartbeat if it where possible.

Family tier fits my needs very well. My only issue is iCloud Storage, I need more than 200GB. The FAQ states that I can pay for more, but... do I have to pay full price to upgrade from 200GB to 2TB? That seems a dealbreaker for me, especially since Premier is not available in my region.
See my recent post that spells out how this is presumably working.

I currently pay
£6.99 for the 2 TB icloud family plan
£14.99 for music and
£9.99 for news +

that's £31.97 a month, so without doing anything, I can pay £29.95 for everything and get a saving, and the extra services

Assuming that you need all the services within the bundle.

I need only two: iCloud and Music. That means on the cheapest Apple One, I'm overpaying by $4, or $4 for services that I don't need.

No, thanks.
Seems like you're already overpaying by not using the annual subscription discount on Apple Music.

At least in Europe (didn't check the others), there is no discount for upgrading iCloud to 2TB - it is the same price as my current subscription.

I checked the European upgrade prices and there is no discount if you have AppleOne - the listed price for upgrading AppleOne to 2TB is the same as as a current subscription without AppleOne.

There might be, but for UK I think. It‘s especially frustrating for people like me who only use a News app with niche news like MacRumors articles etc. But Apple seems to think I‘m not capable of reading english news or that I want to read about local politics / news instead of letting me opt into the app without local stuff.

The fun thing is that the News widget exists and pulls from local news.

I'm happy about this. So far I'm paying for the 2TB, Apple Music and have dabbled with Arcade on and off in the past year. The Fitness+ I definitely want when it comes out and I just got the free trial of News+ a few weeks ago, which I'd also like but the whole £9.99 extra adds up... This for £30 is excellent. Glad it's coming to the UK. News+ is fine once you filter out all the alt-left crap! But that's apparent everywhere. For the magazines, it's worth it every day of the week as most of them cost £6 a month anyway.

Most people only want more storage (100gb, 1tb, 4tb) and maybe Apple Music. Make it happen Apple.

Makes sense if you are in deep with the Apple ecosystem. It was only a matter of time before they did this. It's a smart move. I had spotify and Apple music at one stage. But I never used apple music except for running on my apple watch. Spotify's music exploration is just way better.

This is all well and good but I’m using different ID of iTunes and iCloud. How could I benefit from this? Can I join my 2 Apple IDs?
I think they introduced the ability to LINK accounts being used in this way a year or so ago? Try a specific apple site search and you’ll probably find it. I think you can also change the associated address with account authorization, vs. emails. That would probably do that same thing without aCully linking.

You know this based on the subscription data you have of Apple’s customers? The surveys you have done of the needs of current customers? What you personally want generalized to the whole world? :)

Just reading this thread I have seen many different statements of “what people want” with different services. This is a simple deal. If one has Apple Music and 50GB of storage one is currently paying ~$11 a month. For $4 more one gets TV+ and Arcade, saving $6 over getting them by themselves. If one has an Apple Music Family Plan and 1TB of storage, one pays $4 more and gets all the content services Apple offers. I am fairly confident that very few people want 4TB, and while there are some who would want 1TB, the support costs to Apple for adding tiers make it not worth it.

I personally would love storage options over 2TB, but I am not sure I would be willing to pay what it would cost (about $5 a terabyte a month). As for those who want an unlimited option, understand that only works if most people paying for it are not really using it. That is why companies like Dropbox offer it only as part of corporate accounts with a minimum group size (for Dropbox it is 3 users at a cost of $20 a month). Their model is that most people will not use that much and then they throttle access speeds making it useful only as an infrequently accessed backup solution. Wasabi offers storage at $6 a terabyte a month that is fast enough to be used like local disk if one has a fast enough internet connection, but that is more than most people are willing to spend.

I wish you could mix and match your bundles. For example. I already get AM with Verizon. So I wish i could build a bigger Icloud Bundle with Apple TV plus, and Arcade. Minus the AM. For one price.🤷🏻‍♂️
