I thought for sure that local Apple stores would have these in stock on Day 1 or Day 2, so I didn't order one online yesterday. But now I'm 0-for-2 at the local Apple store, and it might end up being faster just ordering online and waiting for it to arrive from China.
Today is Day 22 without having my data on my new rMBP. I'm going nuts ...

Assuming the manager of your local store is savvy enough to order them, and that they'd come direct from China, they're probably going arrive at the stores at about the time the first units shipped to customers land. More likely they'll go in bigger batches to the US distribution center (Sacramento?) and then go to the stores with the rest of the inventory. It isn't like this is a model rollout that Apple has said would be available on a specific date.I thought for sure that local Apple stores would have these in stock on Day 1 or Day 2, so I didn't order one online yesterday.
