New Apple TV No Longer Includes Charging Cable for Siri Remote in Box

This is nothing but greed. Disappointing behaviour Apple.
Solar is the answer. Samsung did it a year ago. It works super well for low-powered things like remotes.
I get being a fan of Apple, hell I'm a big fan of Apple. But defending a move that is purely for extra profit is not being a fan, it is more of being like a cult member.
That’s a pretty weird comparison. None of my cars have ever come with petrol.
if you like, Apple can charge you more to include the USB-C cable.

you're assuming Apple would have kept the price had they included a USB-C cable.
That's still included for now but I am sure some people are lining up to defend Apple should they remove that as well for the "environment"
Well they kept the price the same when they stopped including the plug with the iPhone so yes easy assumption.
How many will miss the requirement to buy a separate HDMI cable?
because most people opt for the wall connector which is superior to the mobile charger.
if Tesla continued including the charger, more than likely we would have seen a price increase on every single model they make.
inflation? part shortage? iPhone's 5G chip is more expensive? bad assumption.

The hysterical thing is paying customers going balls to the wall to defend a trillion dollar company's obvious tactic to pad margins a bit more.
Ah right. So not including something that even if only 20% of people don’t need, doesn’t help with reducing e-waste, and therefore the environment? Got it.
The next generation of Apple TV will probably not include a remote (save the planet from e-waste argument… it has nothing to do with money of cause… besides everybody has a old Apple TV remote lying around or can just use their iPhone as a remote)… hm… was meant as a joke - but the more I think of it, the more plausible it seams.
Unless you already have one... My current Siri remotes last about a year without recharging, it's not like it needs a dedicated charger and cable.

Not really. Most people don't have wireless chargers, and it's not like you need to seal the remote for increased water resistance either....
I charge my Siri remote about once a year, no need to add the complexity and cost of wireless charging: it would add zero value.
