Stopped by the Apple Store for a Mac repair today and picked up the black nylon 42. Thought I was going to get another sports band but liked the look and feel of this band. It's soft and comfortable. Better than any other nylon band I've felt. It's going to be my daily wear for the warmer summer months.

50 bucks?! LOL... how does anyone justify that price?! Looks like Apple consumers will pay any price just to have the apple name on it, even if its just a piece of rubber, haha.
I'm not saying it's necessarily worth $50, but the quality IS better than other options that are out there. The link bracelet is very expensive, but the other options are just a lot worse. It's not just the Apple name, but it the quality is just better... believe it or not.

Just picked up the same one at a SF Bay Area Apple Store. The black nylon band looks super nice on the space gray sport watch.

Got my Yellow Sport Band three days after announcement. Hear ship dates are weeks out now.

I dont know much about the rubber bands apple sells, but it's rubber. If I were to use phone cases bought retail and ones off ebay for ONE DOLLAR which I've owned plenty of, they're more than adequate. 50 dollars for something that essentially costs them pennies is robbery... and what you're doing is essentially telling them you're content with it. Perhaps you've got a lot of spare money you can waste, but most of us dont have the privilege to be so careless with money.

Please know that you're WRONG, lol.

I along with MANY others very much DO care how the home screen looks. For one, I'm able to manage which apps are static in my dock on my Nexus phone. Next, I use Chronus widget which tells me the time and current weather based on my location; tapping either section opens up my alarm clock which I use frequently or an expanded view of a 5 day forecast. I've got only TWO home-screens because that's all I need for my main apps and all others that I rarely use are tucked away. I've got 8 contacts on the second home screen as shortcuts since they're my most often used one. This has been my preferred view for a very long time.

Of course, this is MY preferred method. My mom and dad both have their own preferences of how their MAIN SCREEN looks/acts. All my friends who are on android phones have their own customization and many of them use Nova Launcher to get even more customization to THEIR liking along with other things like different keyboards, backgrounds, lock screens, etc.

But hey, you say people dont care about customization right? Then why did Apple add alternative keyboard support in iOS? What about those that jailbreak their phones? What about those that actually DO customize their phone in other ways?

You know, it's a good thing Android (and other platforms) exist if only to run your anger wild. You're not entitled to have everyone do things the way YOU DO just because your selfish.

Thank god for CHOICE.

So you have neither an iPhone or an Apple Watch, yet you keep posting in an Apple Watch thread expecting people to think your opinion is the right one.

There is close to ZERO customization on iDevices. If the consumer decides on say, an iPhone, then they don't care for customization or have no knowledge about the ability to do so on alternatives and the inability to do so on an iPhone.
What makes you so bitter and angry? Be happy that your cheaper substitutes satisfy your needs, I am very happy with my iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad etc.

Interesting to hear. I've looked at the website and it looks nice, but hard to tell exactly what it's like for real.

I love my watch but am kind of sad that I didn't get the silver aluminium as it's a lot more suited to the different band colours. I wouldn't necessarily buy loads but it would be nice to have a colour other than black.

I wavered when I ordered as I thought this might be a problem but stuck with the Space Grey; it looks good but I think next gen I'll go silver aluminium or possibly go SS.

…and unfortunately, people keep responding to him, thread after thread after thread.

Your last sentence makes a point that doesn't seem to jibe with its previous paragraph.

As someone without a lot of money, you have the choice to buy $1 watch bands and phone cases. And those that have the money and want the product can pay for $50 bands and $40 cases. Why even bother complaining? It's about having a choice. And I'm someone who's tried both the cheap stuff and the expensive stuff (when it comes to bands and phone cases), and am thankful that I have the choice and means to get the expensive stuff, since I can appreciate (perceive? imagine?) the difference.

For the people in this market, I'm genuinely glad for them. I have no desire to diminish any excitement they have for this.

As for me, having bought my first iPhone on June 29, 2007, currently owning an iPod Hi-Fi and loving it, having owned and enjoyed the Mighty Mouse, still kicking it with my .mac email address, even occasionally firing up my pre-Intel Mac Pro tower of power, and using my Apple Watch to track my daily run, I simply cannot muster even a scintilla of interest in watch band announcements. For me, there is nothing Apple about watch bands. Nothing. I hate to say it, but I hope they aren't a source of revenue or marketing or goodwill for Apple - I want selfishly for Apple to look for revenue and marketing and goodwill in Tech, not bracelets.

Maybe it's just me (I'm nearly convinced it's just me), but if I have no interest in something... I don't write 100+ word posts about it. I just move along. I thought it was an attribute that comes along with more life experience, but you seem to have even more of that experience than I. ;)

How long before the nylon ''Nato" straps will be available. from aliexpress & ebay.
They'll be working on them for sure now just wondering how long based on original 'knock offs'

I'm looking foward to these two for around 9.99 each:

The premium straps no longer come with the white plastic storage / presentation box. Where am I supposed to keep a £129 strap when I'm not using it! I won't be buying any more straps unless I can find a display / storage box for them!

Just use any leather jewelry/watch box.

i don't get how they are available in store but if you want to ship to your home its 1-2 weeks??? the black nylon band for 38 mm watch that is. for those who did order online are you getting yours a lot quicker then that?

I bought my watch (42mm Milanese) last year. One of the things I like to do is swap out the bands on a daily basis. I have tried 3rd party bands. The Apple bands are crafted better. The Sports band feels great, and doesn't feel like rubber or plastic on my wrist. It breathes quite nicely. I'm interested in trying out the nylon bands.

i placed an order to pick up in store a black nylon band tonight, how many days do I have to pick it up? It doesn't say

Easier to justify than wasting precious time hanging around a site about products and a brand that you clearly hate/envy.

Grow up, not everything in life is about buying from the dollar menu.
