While Beats are generally overpriced garbage, if Apple poured some legitimate research and development into either making Bluetooth audio better or lightning audio clearly superior to the analog headphone jack - and released the resulting products under the Beats brand - I could picture myself CONSIDERING buying a set of Beats headphones.

I'm not sure why they would put much development time and effort into it, since the old formula of inferior hardware at a premium price was working so well for Beats (and Apple as well).

You really should change the line of the article that says "as the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will not have a headphone jack" to "as the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus is not expected to have a headphone jack". Unless you have irrefutable information no one else has. Do you?
The word "Rumor" appears no less than 31 times on Page 1.

I think they have got themselves covered.

I love my Momentums and AKGs but I'm definitely looking forward to going wireless.

Can't wait to see what Apple unveils next week.

If apple includes bragi style wireless earbuds in box i will be amazed. I haven't used the standard earbuds that come in the box since iPhone 3g. Unopened iPhone 4(i think i tested them but never used them), unopened iPhone 5 and 6.
It will be a great way to shut up all the complainers if they have these in the box. Ill still use my jaybird freedoms though

Hold up, hey.....hope you ready for the Next Episode~~~Nate Dogg

I really do like my Solo 2 headphones - they've worked really well for me. However, one thing I would like to see would be a lightning input on the Solos for charging. As it is now the Beats are the only device I need to charge on a regular basis that use the micro USB input and it'd be nice to not have to carry another cable around. A small issue for sure, but it would be nice. :)

Never liked beats anyway.

Have owned a pair in the past. My m50x's were half the price and WAY better.

In saying that, if Apple did fix the beats brand and make legit killer headphones, I'll definitely get a pair. For now, they're all marketing and less 'sounding great'.
Love my M50x as well, killer headphones and they only cost $120 when I got them!

I know they're not expected to announce new Macs next week - but seriously if they do an announcement for Beats headphones, and nothing to do with Macs, I swear this place is going to go into some kind of meltdown.
It already is in meltdown--over the Note 7 exploding ;)

It's all coming together. Apple's excuse for removing the beloved and highly useful headphone jack is the only thing missing. The accessories (both from Apple and 3rd Parties) have been leaked so it is basically confirmed that the iPhone 7/7 Plus will not have a headphone jack.

This is going to be highly entertaining.

Am I the only one who would rather deal with the slight inconvenience of a cord connecting the earbuds over the 99% chance of losing one of them, rendering the pair useless?
In addition the controls are much more convenient on the cord than they are on a bud itself.

I mean, I love my wired headphones as much as the next person, and I'm definitely not ready to get rid of them, but I will agree that wireless is going to be the future. Just like internet: were we always going to use Ethernet and wired connections? Probably not, and I miss that some devices don't include Ethernet ports, but Wi-Fi is definitely the future of networking.

It's clear that Bragi Dash need models to promote their unappealing wireless ear buds.

I own the Bragi dash and cannot recommend it, Sound bad, connection difficult, no audiobooks from audible without phone, they do not fit really good - so I lost one and could not get a replacement.

But I can recommend the new Bose QuietComfort 35 these are the best of the best, easy to connenct, best sound and best noise cancellation ever.

While Beats are generally overpriced garbage

Fair to say that's the general wisdom.

However, since I have my Powerbeats 2 I can actually use earbuds at the gym, for the first time ever. They're sturdy and perfect for workouts, and sound good. I'm a very happy camper.

I don't think ethernet will ever really go away. Wi-fi has become so ubiquitous that when you want a stable internet connection, the only way to get it is through the wire. There is so much interference in the airwaves already what with cell data and wifi fighting for space. Ethernet or a version of ethernet will always be around IMHO. Never say never I always say.

Eh i know al to of people here don't like them. I have a mix opinion about them. They aren't terrible but they aren't great. I only got my studios cause I only paid about $70 out of pocket for them. IF was the market I would prob get the new Bose QC35s in silver. ;)
