Negative ;)

It's all good. We are all here for one purpose. :)

Yes! Anxiously awaiting the update, and then waiting for the next one :p

Lol.. you got that right. It never ends.

Hmm ordering a standard MacBook pro from apple directly online is a three to five day wait

Only thing I'm stuck with is choosing the 13 or the 15 >.<

Me 2 here..

My budget is $2000 (including everything) and I def want to upgrade to 8gig of ram right away so I need to choose wisely. IF ssd is not an option(which I rather want rather than having none upgradeable blade), I def also want to upgrade to ssd as well. So I might have to go for $1499 13 inch but I use my mbp extensively, I am leaning towards basic 15 inch

For a while I was in this same situation. I wanted a 15" because the bigger screen would be better for watching movies. But since I'm a student, the slightly higher portability of a 13" suited me better. That was my reasoning. I realize this might not be the same for you or anyone else, but just figured I'd share my experience.

Any CS student or programmer, can you survive w/ 13 inch?(assuming 1440x900) and let's say you program lot outside of your room(meaning no external monitor)

Expect a leak tomorrow or Tuesday. Websites get paid lots when traffic goes through the roof and there will be some heavy cash incentives to get these packages opened up. Can't wait to see it. credit card is ready to get a fully optioned out and maxed out 17!

I would also like to know this. I start college this year and im in a similar situation.

I'm sometimes programming on a 13''. The difference between 13'' and 15'' is not that big, but nevertheless in 95% I use my desktop for programming.

Yeah but the last redesigned iMac didn't leak...we only got to see it first on the launch day...

Ill let you all know when I get a big blacked out pallette here.

Of course I wouldnt DARE open it before Im told to.

Not as many care about the iMac. I certainly don't!

Which is why Apple will be even more strict with leaks, threatening to remove reseller licenses is more than enough of a threat to retailers and i'm sure no employee wants to get fired just to make some quick cash. Gizmodo only paid $5000 for the iPhone 4 prototype, and that was orders of magnitude more anticipated than these new Macbooks.

no sources , how are you suppose to believe that?

There's also the fact that if Apple do change the design which seems a certainty at this point, then they'll almost certainly have an event to launch them. I can't remember the last time Apple significantly changed the design of their High-end Macbooks without holding an event.

Is there an event booked to show these rumoured new MBP's? If there is no event then I think it's safe to assume that it's just a spec bump, on these rumoured MBP's.

I think if there was already an event booked everybody would be going crazy ;)

Just because there's no event doesn't mean much, it's still 4am PST which is where Apple's HQ is located and they tend to announce events on monday. Go back and see my earlier post about their announcement dates.

I'm almost 100% sure this is more than a spec bump, for these reasons:

- Taped up shipments arriving which nobody knows about
- Apple's purchase of the liquid metal rumoured to be new Macbook casing
- Intel ad showing Black MacBook design
- No leaks (which tends to happen with spec bumps, look at the new MacBook)
